Tailgate Church - Frequently Asked Questions
🛻 PARKING:
-Tailgaters (trucks) who are setting up food will be parking all along Main Street and the Active Medical parking lot. All other cars that are not using their truckbed for food and are just coming to attend, please park in the Farmers Market parking lot or American Legion parking lot. Parking spots are on a first-come basis, we cannot reserve any spots. Feel free to get there as early as you'd like.
-Note: we can't park in the Post Office parking lot or obstructing the mailbox. Also, we have to keep our parking lot clear, as our kids zone will be there.
🔌OUTLETS:
-We've had lots of questions about if you'll have outlets to plug in crockpots/etc. Due to the power coming out of our building's outlets for our kids zone and speakers, no tailgates can plug into our outlets that are directly on the outside of our building. This means no outlets will be available to use, so please plan accordingly.
🪑CHAIRS & TABLES:
-We recommend that everyone, regardless of if you are using your truckbed or just attending, bring their own camping chairs. Bring a couple extras if you have them for others who forget! Our sanctuary and lobby chairs will not be able to be taken outside.
-Tables will be available as first-come, first-serve basis. We only have around 15, so these usually go quick. If you have folding tables at home, we strongly recommend bringing them if you need a place to put your food - in case ours are taken quickly. If you use our tables, please wipe them down afterwards and take them back inside the sanctuary after the event is over.
✍MISC NOTES:
-Bring food to grill and share! New Heights will be providing all drinks!
-If your tailgate is supplying food, make sure to also bring plates, utensils, napkins, serving spoons and trash bags.
-The Kids Zone will not be monitored by kids volunteers/staff, so keep an eye on your children when they are playing, especially if they are under 4 years of age.
-We love to see small groups join together and have their own tailgate area and help each other with supplying food, so contact your group and see if they have a tailgate plan!
