Creekside Weekly Prayer Request

Heavenly Father,
We come before You this week lifting up our church and our community.

Lord, we pray for the hurting—those carrying heavy hearts and silent burdens. Bring comfort and peace that only You can give.
We pray for the sick—that You would bring healing, strength, and restoration.
We lift up those in need—provide for them in every way, seen and unseen.

Father, we pray for those who have lost their way from You—draw them back with Your love and grace. And for those who have never known You, reveal Yourself to them in a real and life-changing way.

We also lift up our first responders, law enforcement, and all who stand on the front lines caring for and protecting others. Cover them with Your protection, guide their decisions, and strengthen them each day.

Lord, help us to be a church that loves well, serves faithfully, and reflects You in all we do.

In Jesus’ name,
Amen.

If you are in need of prayer or would like someone to pray with you, please message us or comment “prayer” below—we are here for you.

Some waved.
Some shouted.
But some… laid something down.

In Luke 19:28–40, as Jesus entered Jerusalem, it wasn’t just the noise of the crowd that mattered—it was the sacrifice in the street. The garments laid beneath Him weren’t just clothing… they were identity, comfort, and security surrendered so the King could move forward.

The ones who made the greatest impact weren’t the loudest voices—
they were the quiet worshipers who chose to lay down what they had.

Because the truth is:
You can celebrate Him… and still hold back from Him.
But when you lay it down, you don’t just honor the King—
you make a way for Him.

So the question remains:
What are you still holding onto?

Join us this Thursday, April 2nd at 6:30 PM for our Maundy Thursday at Creekside Church.

As we remember the sacrifice of Jesus, we’ll also reflect on what it truly means to surrender our own lives before Him.

If you don’t have a home church, we would love to welcome you.
If you do—be where God has planted you.

But wherever you are… don’t just wave at Him this week.

Make a way for Him.

-Joe Pratt

If you don’t have a home church, we would love for you to join us this Palm Sunday at Creekside Church ! 🌿

Doors open at 10:30 AM, service begins at 11:00 AM, and Children’s Small Group starts at 10:45 AM.

This Sunday’s message: “The Coat Under the King” based on Luke 19:28–40.

As Jesus entered Jerusalem, the people laid down their cloaks in the road—an act of surrender, honor, and worship. What does it look like for us today to lay something down before the King?

“Blessed is the King who comes in the name of the Lord! Peace in heaven and glory in the highest!” — Luke 19:38

Come experience a time of worship, reflection, and a powerful reminder of who Jesus truly is.

And no matter where you choose to worship this Sunday, know that we are supporting you, praying for you, and believing God will meet you right where you are. ❤️

We have a seat saved for you! - Joe

Creekside Weekly Prayer Request 🙏

This week, we reflect on the widow who gave her two mites—not out of abundance, but out of trust. A quiet moment that reminds us: God sees beyond the surface… He sees the heart.

Let’s pray together:

That we would never become people who look holy on the outside but miss the heart of God.
That we would be sensitive to those who are hurting, struggling, or carrying silent burdens.
That we would not place pressure where God is calling us to show compassion.
That our church would be a place of restoration, not depletion.
That we would trust God fully—whether we feel like we have much or very little.
That our giving, our serving, and our lives would come from love, not obligation.

Prayer:
Lord, help us to see people the way You see them. Guard our hearts from empty religion and lead us into genuine compassion. Teach us to trust You fully and to reflect Your love in every way. Let Creekside be a place where the vulnerable are lifted, the hurting are seen, and Your heart is made known. Amen.

No matter where you are today, know this—you are seen, you are loved, and you are being prayed for. ❤️

Creekside Church is honored to be supporting Calvary Baptist Church in Hurricane, WV to serve a community in urgent need.

Right now, families in McDowell County, WV are facing a heartbreaking reality — access to clean, usable water has been severely impacted due to deteriorating infrastructure, contamination, and lack of resources. The situation has become so serious that many residents cannot safely use their water even for basic personal hygiene.

We have the opportunity to step in and be the hands and feet of Jesus.

💧 How You Can Help:

Donate gallon jugs and bottled water
Donate easy, non-perishable snacks such as Pop-Tarts, crackers, fruit cups, granola bars, and similar items
Donations will be accepted now through the morning of Friday, April 10th

🚗 Want to Do More?
We also need volunteers willing to help deliver and distribute water and supplies in McDowell County. If you feel called to serve, take Creekside on the Road and reach out to Pastor Joe or message the church page.

This is what it looks like to be the Church.
This is what it looks like to love our neighbors.
This is what it looks like to live out our faith.

“Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.” – Matthew 25:40

Creekside Weekly Prayer Request

Heavenly Father,
We come before You first with praise and thanksgiving. You are good, You are faithful, and You are near. Thank You for sustaining us, for loving us even in our brokenness, and for continuing to call us closer to You. Thank You for the ways You provide, protect, and pursue us—even when we don’t always see it.

Lord, this week we lift up our church and our community.

We pray for those who are struggling—those carrying burdens that feel too heavy, those battling anxiety, fear, or uncertainty. Meet them right where they are and remind them that they do not walk alone.

We lift up those who are experiencing loss in any form—loss of loved ones, relationships, health, direction, or peace. Father, be their comfort. Wrap them in Your presence and draw them near to You. Your Word reminds us in Psalm 34:18, “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” Let that truth guide them back into Your arms.

We pray for those who have fallen away from You. Lord, gently call them home. Remove anything that has distracted or distanced them, and remind them of Your grace, Your mercy, and Your open arms.

And Father, we celebrate and lift up those who have found You again. Strengthen their faith, surround them with support, and help them continue to grow in truth and love. Let their testimony be a light to others.

We also lift up those serving our communities and nation—our military, first responders, law enforcement, and our national leaders. Watch over them, protect them, give them wisdom, and strengthen them as they carry heavy responsibilities on behalf of others.

We ask that You would unite us as a church—compassionate, aware, and ready to carry one another’s burdens. Help us to love deeply, serve faithfully, and reflect You well in everything we do.

Lord, continue to shape our hearts.
Draw us closer.
Make us more like You.

We trust You with every need, every hurt, and every step forward.

In Jesus’ name,
Amen.

51 minutes.

That’s all it took for God to move tonight. 🙌

We shared a need for our REFINED Youth Retreat transportation… and in 51 minutes God already had the answer waiting.

Not only did we hear “I got this,” we were told it was already taken care of.

God delivers. Every time.

Thank you Brian Taylor for your generous heart and obedience to step in and bless our youth. Because of you, our students will be able to experience everything God has planned for them.

This is why our community is so special.
This is why we love our church family.

God is good all the time! ❤️

🚐 Community Help Needed for Our REFINED Youth Retreat! 🙌

Creekside family and friends — we’re gearing up for our REFINED Youth Retreat on May 1–2, and we could use a little help from our amazing community!

We’re looking for a passenger van, small bus, or similar vehicle that we might be able to rent or possibly borrow so we can transport all of our youth together and give them the full retreat experience. Traveling together is part of the fun, and we want to make sure every student who wants to go has a seat.

If you—or someone you know—has a vehicle like this that might be available those dates, please reach out to one of our church leaders or message the Creekside Church page.

We know we ask a lot from our community sometimes, and we truly can’t thank you enough for your continued generosity and support. It means more than we can express for our little church and helps us continue pouring into the next generation and sharing the Word of God.

Thank you for always showing up for our youth. ❤️
