🌿 St. Francis in Our Memorial Garden 🌿
A beloved feature of our Memorial Garden, is this St. Francis Shrine that was dedicated to the glory of God and in loving memory of Francis Epes Bryant (1917–1998), father of Church of Our Saviour’s 11th Rector.
St. Francis of Assisi is remembered for his love of creation, compassion for all living things, and deep devotion to God. His presence in our garden offers a peaceful place for reflection, remembrance, and prayer.
Whether visiting loved ones remembered in our Memorial Garden or simply seeking a quiet moment, we invite you to stop and spend time in this sacred space.

🌈 Happy Pride Month from Church of Our Saviour 🌈

This June, we celebrate the beautiful diversity of God’s beloved children and reaffirm our commitment to being a community where all are welcomed, valued, and loved.

At Church of Our Saviour, inclusion is not just something we celebrate during Pride Month, it’s who we strive to be every day of the year. We believe that every person is created in love, worthy of dignity, and has a place at the table.

Whoever you are, wherever you are on your journey, you are welcome here.

Hidden within the Church of Our Saviour sacristy, live intricate vintage vestments woven with symbolism, craftsmanship, and tradition.

From metallic threads and ornate brocade to hand-finished trim, these sacred textiles have carried generations of prayer, procession, and ceremony. ✨

The artistry in historic church vestments truly feels like wearable architecture.

A quiet treasure in the Leppo Room ✨

This beautifully illustrated prayer, framed here at Church of Our Saviour, was created by Helen L. James and inspired by The Book of Common Prayer. Filled with delicate watercolor flowers, birds, woodland details, and illuminated calligraphy, the piece invites a moment of stillness and reflection.

“Almighty and eternal God, so draw our hearts to thee…”

A reminder that beauty, prayer, imagination, and creation can all live together in the same sacred space. 🌿🕊️

There is something profoundly beautiful about creating flowers for memorial services.

Not to erase grief, but to honor love, memory, and the sacredness of a life that mattered deeply.

This arrangement, photographed in the memorial garden at Church of Our Saviour, felt especially reflective of that quiet kind of beauty the Episcopal tradition holds so well, reverence through light, nature, prayer, and creation itself.

Did you know? 🐟✨

The fish in this stained glass window is an ancient Christian symbol known as the Ichthys, the Greek word for “fish.” Early Christians used it as a sign of faith, and each letter represents:
Jesus Christ, Son of God, Savior.

Fish also appear throughout the Gospels, symbolizing abundance, community, and Jesus’ call to be “fishers of people.” The flowing water beneath them reflects themes of baptism, renewal, and new life.

Even today, these symbols quietly tell stories of faith, connection, and tradition within the church. Find this one in our COS Sanctuary.
