Lamar Lighthouse Camp

Lamar Lighthouse Camp Lamar Lighthouse Camp is an interdenominational Christian Camp located on Route 64 in Lamar, Pa. The youth are invited to check in on July 6th at 4:30 pm.

We are thrilled to announce the Lamar Lighthouse Family Camp, which will be held from July 6th to July 14th, 2025. We invite families, friends, and community members to join us for a week filled with fun, fellowship, and spiritual growth. This year's VBS will be donut themed, promising a sweet experience for all the children attending. The program will start on Monday, July 7th, and conclude on Fr

iday, July 11th. Each day will be packed with engaging activities, learning, and delicious surprises. From there, they will embark on a week of exciting events, meaningful discussions, and opportunities to connect with peers. We are delighted to have Stan Keys as our Evangelist for the week. He will also lead one of the morning Bible studies, offering insights and inspiration to deepen your spiritual journey. Additionally, Janis Heiser will lead our young adults' Bible study, providing a space for reflection, discussion, and growth. We can't wait to welcome you to Lamar Lighthouse Family Camp 2025. Whether you're a returning camper or joining us for the first time, we’re looking forward to an unforgettable week together. See you there!

It was so wonderful to see everyone this past week at family camp.

The world pushes us down and challenges the reality of our being followers of Jesus. Whenever our emotions or circumstances contradict the biblical reality of salvation, we can trust that the Scriptures are reliable. The Apostle John writes with clarity in 1 John 5:12-13: “Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life. I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life.” Notice he doesn’t say “hope” or “wonder about”—he says know. We are children of God, resting in the arms of the Most High, and we trust him in our daily walk.

Sunday, July 19, is a uniquely special day for HCC. There is no Sunday School this week. The Worship Service at 10:30 a.m. and we changed venue to Lamar Lighthouse Camp located at Rt. 64, 2 miles south of 1-80. The actual address is 4746 Nittany Valley Dr. The service will be in person and online. Tithes and offerings will be received in person, online, or by mailing your gift to Howard Christian Church, P.O. Box 465, Howard, PA 16841.

I will be preaching, and communion will be offered. You do not need to bring anything; the service is in the large room, with padded seats, parking is plentiful, and the room is air-conditioned. A complete fellowship meal is planned for after the service in the air-conditioned dining hall. It has been a great week at family camp, and I am confident you will enjoy the service and the change of venue.

Please pray for Lori Taylor and Esther Giedroc’s good friend, Chelsea. Chelsea had surgery this week and is recovering. Please be in prayer for the Don Lomison Family, who passed away on Tuesday. Don is the uncle of Patsy Rougeux and an elder at Pine Creek Christian.

Friends, we know that Jesus is stronger than our emotions or our circumstances. His promises are secure. Let us confidently live in the knowledge and faith that God is Love. We love you and look forward to seeing you on Sunday.
