No Worship Livestream this week due to the Sunday School Christmas Program. We will have our Livestream again next week on the Fourth Sunday of Advent. See you then!

Third Week of Advent - Joy
Here is the poem we have been using in our worship this Advent. May the words guide and lead you this week as together we seek to find places of Advent Joy.

Poem: “In Search of Our Kneeling Places” by Ann Weems, 1993
In each heart lies a Bethlehem, an inn where we must
ultimately answer whether there is room or not.
When we are Bethlehem-bound we experience
Our own advent in his.
When we are Bethlehem-bound we can no longer look the
Other way conveniently not seeing stars,
Not hearing angel voices.
We can no longer excuse ourselves by busily tending
Our sheep or our kingdoms.
This Advent let’s go to Bethlehem and see this thing that the
Lord has made known to us.
In the midst of shopping sprees let’s ponder in our hearts the
Gift of Gifts.
Through the tinsel let’s look for the gold of the
Christmas Star.
In the excitement and confusion, in the merry chaos let’s
Listen for the brush of angels’ wings.
This Advent, let’s go to Bethlehem and find
Our kneeling places.

Due to the recent SNAP pause, we know the need may grow. OHgo, and our partners, remain prepared to respond to an increase in need. Hunger is something no one should struggle with. OHgo has many food giveaways scheduled every week. This week alone, there will be 8 different times and locations that you can get groceries, so please follow this page to stay updated.

Please know that we are here to help, and we’ll keep showing up! Our OHgo volunteers aren’t just at events to hand out or help carry groceries, they care about you, and are also here to listen.

We are working with @ secondharvestfoodbank the best we can to expand our food inventory, increasing our space and volunteer base to pack more emergency food boxes, and collaborating with other service providers.

We encourage our community to please step in with us.
