From the desk of the minister:
This week I’ve been praying for all our kids who are headed back to school and so I wanted to invite you to join me in praying for them! I love using the passage that speaks of Jesus’ own upbringing in Luke 2:52 as a guide to pray over our kids.
In this passage it highlights four key areas of development: mental, physical, spiritual, social.
“And Jesus grew in wisdom (mental) and stature (physical), and in favor with God (spiritual) and people (social).”
So let’s be praying the same for them:
O Lord I ask that You bless this family and especially this new school year. Help these young people to grow in wisdom and in truth. May You bless them and keep them safe, healthy and whole. May they come to know You & recognize Your Presence throughout the day. Surround them with good friends who build them up. I pray this in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
Praying God’s blessing over our schools and teachers as well!
