Everyone wants the anointing but not everyone wants the crushing.
We love the idea of walking in power.
We shout about favor.
We sing about overflow.
We post about blessings.
But the truth is—oil doesn’t flow without pressure.
In Scripture, oil was never cheap.
It didn’t just appear.
It came from olives that had to be crushed, pressed, and broken to produce something valuable.
And it’s the same in the Spirit—there is no anointing without a process.
We want the benefits of God without the burden of surrender.
We want the glory without the grinding.
We want the crown without the cross.
But the oil isn’t free.
It will cost you your comfort.
It will cost you your pride.
It will cost you your plans.
It will cost you late nights in prayer when no one sees.
It will cost you walking away from things your flesh wants to hold onto.
The anointing is not something you wear—it’s something you carry. And what you carry will always be tested.
There’s a difference between being gifted and being anointed.
Gifts can come without sacrifice, but anointing is birthed through consecration.
Some people want to be used by God, but they don’t want to be set apart for God.
You can’t carry holy oil with unholy habits.
You can’t expect fresh fire while living lukewarm.
You can’t walk in power if you won’t die to yourself.
The pressing is painful—but it’s necessary.
Because what comes out of you in the crushing is what God will use to break chains off of someone else.
So don’t despise the process.
Don’t run from the pressure.
Don’t quit in the crushing.
That very thing you’re trying to escape—is producing the oil you’ve been praying for.
