Did we put ice and pour cold water into these cups just to watch them change colors? Absolutely. 😂💙

Every kid is getting their own Oaks Kids color-changing cup this Sunday for Pop-Up Sunday! We’ll also have backpack tags, parent resources, and a few more fun surprises.

🎈 POP-UP SUNDAY is coming August 16th! 🎈

We’re celebrating our kids “popping up” to their new classes - and we’ll have a special Kindergarten Blessing for all of our incoming kindergarteners! 💛

Elementary kids will continue to worship with their families at the beginning of service and head back to Large Group around the usual time. On August 16th, our small groups will officially reopen, and kids will begin meeting in their new groups!

Our Oaks Kids classes will be:

🧸 Nursery
🎨 2s & 3s
🌟 4s & 5s
✏️ Kindergarten–2nd Grade
📚 3rd–5th Grade

We’re so excited to celebrate how our kids are growing and begin a new year together in The Oaks Kids!

What an incredible week at Illumination Station! ✨

It’s hard to fit all that God did into one video. Our kids learned that Jesus is God’s Promised, Perfect, Powerful, and Proven Son - and that He is God’s Plan for forgiveness. They sang, laughed, made new friends, asked thoughtful questions, and experienced the love of Jesus through so many people who showed up to serve them!

We are deeply grateful for every volunteer who prayed, planned, decorated, prepared meals, taught, led, encouraged, cleaned, welcomed, and loved our kids so well. Each person brought their own gifts - and together, you created a place where kids were seen, known, loved, and pointed to Jesus.

Thank you to every family who trusted us with your children and joined us for this special week. VBS may be over, but we pray the truth our kids learned continues to take root in their hearts:

Jesus is the Light of the World! 💡🌎

Can we just say... we are SO excited for VBS! 🤩

Last night was our volunteer training, and seeing so many people gathered together because they love kids and love Jesus was pretty incredible! Before VBS ever begins, there's a whole team of people saying "yes."

Yes to decorating hallways.
Yes to learning names.
Yes to high fives and happy dances.
Yes to pointing kids to Jesus.
Yes to making memories that last!

Now we just need the kids! 😄

We’ll have popsicles, chalk, and bubbles from 10:30am–12pm.

Happy Father’s Day to all the dads and father figures in our church family! 💙

This was one of my favorite snapshots from this morning. Just a few dads serving…hanging out on the nursery floor, building towers, sharing stories, and helping little ones feel right at home!

We’re thankful for all the dads and father figures who love, encourage, support, and invest in the next generation! And we’re especially grateful that every child who walks through our doors gets to experience the love of Jesus through a church family that cares for them!
