Join us tomorrow at 7pm at the United Churches of Durham for a Maundy Thursday service. This is a solemn and reflective service of shadows as we walk with Jesus through his final 24 hours on the way to the cross. We’ll gather around the table for communion, live the story of that last day, and experience the sanctuary gradually stripped bare. Lights will dim, candles will be extinguished, and we will leave in silence and darkness.

Holy Week at United Churches begins this Sunday, March 29th, with our Palm Sunday service, and we invite you to be part of this meaningful start to the journey. Our worship will begin with a special palm procession, as the children lead us into the sanctuary waving palm branches while we sing “Hosanna.”

To fully take part in this opening celebration, please plan to arrive by 9:45 AM so you don’t miss this beautiful and joyful moment!

United Churches will be offering Ashes to Go from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM in the United Churches parking lot.

If your day is busy, we invite you to stop by for a brief prayer and the imposition of ashes as you come and go.
