This Sunday night, we’re coming together for a very special night of worship and testimony. 🤍

We’ll hear from the Plush family and celebrate the incredible miracle God has done in Breau’s life. So many have prayed for this precious little boy, and we’ve had the privilege of watching God move in such an incredible way. Now, we get to gather together, hear their story, and give God all the praise for what He has done.

Join us this Sunday, September 6th at 6:00 PM for a night we know will be incredibly special.

TRC family, please be in prayer for Pastor Jason and his family as they grieve the loss of his mom. Our hearts are heavy for Pastor J, Stormy, the girls, and their entire family, and we’re praying that God surrounds them with peace, comfort, and strength in the days ahead.

Pastor J shared some words from his heart earlier today, and we find it only fitting to share them here with our TRC family as well:

“Last night at 11:24 p.m., we said goodbye to our mom.

She was surrounded by those who loved her most—our dad, my brother, and me by her side, holding her hand, with our sister there with us on the phone. It was one of the hardest moments of our lives, but somehow, it was also beautiful. It was peaceful. It was filled with love.

Mom almost made it to 75. Her birthday would have been September 7th, this coming Labor Day. While our hearts are broken that she won’t be here to celebrate it with us, we are incredibly grateful for the life she lived.

Mom was loved by so many. She had a world full of friends, and everywhere she went, she left a little bit of herself in the lives of others. She was a wife, a mother, a friend, and so much more. Her life mattered. Her love mattered. And the memories she gave us will stay with us forever.

Most of all, we are grateful for the hope we have in Jesus. Mom is no longer hurting. She is no longer fighting. She is home with the Lord.

So today, through the tears, we choose gratitude. Gratitude for 74 years of her life. Gratitude for every conversation, every laugh, every memory, and every moment we were blessed to call her Mom.

We love you, Momma. We’re going to miss you more than words can say.

Until we see you again. ❤️”

Who’s ready for tonight?! 🙌

The middle of the week is here, which means it’s time to send those 1st-12th graders our way for a little food, a little fun, and a whole lot of Jesus!

TRC Kids (1st–5th grade) and TRC Students (6th–12th grade) will meet tonight from 6:30–7:30 PM, with drop-off starting at 6:00 PM.

And anybody who shows up tonight definitely won’t leave hungry! 😋 A huge shout-out to Clint and Angela Smith for providing Jenny’s Fried Chicken for the whole crew tonight. We appreciate you guys! ❤️

We’ll see everyone at 6:00!

You thought we forgot about TRC Volunteer Spotlights, didn’t you?

We didn’t! It just took us a few months to finally catch the Dimitri family long enough to get some questions answered and a picture taken. But we finally did it, and we’re so happy to introduce you to them!

The Dimitris — Shaun, Kristin, Lynlee, Kenzie, and Anniston — have been part of the TRC family for almost a year, and when we say they jumped right in, we mean it. Their very first week at TRC, they ended up helping in the kitchen on a Wednesday night. They saw a need, knew they could help, and just stepped in.

When we asked where they serve at TRC, their answer was simple: “Wherever we’re needed.”

And they mean it!

Over the last year, you’ve probably seen the Dimitris just about everywhere — from TRC Kids and Students to worship, VBS, Wednesday nights, and plenty of places in between. Shaun says one of his favorite moments was getting to share his testimony with our church on Father’s Day, while Lynlee has loved things like bringing Fear Factor to our TRC Students. Lynlee is also part of our awesome TRC band, Kristin volunteers and teaches in TRC Kids, Kenzie is part of TRC Students, and Anniston is one of our TRC Kids. For the Dimitris, being involved at TRC really is a family thing.

But when you talk to them about serving, they don’t talk about how much they do. They talk about relationships. They talk about meeting people, encouraging people, being part of a team, and seeing a need and knowing they can do something to help.

And their advice to someone who hasn’t gotten involved yet says it best:

“Don’t be afraid to get involved. There’s always something that you can do.”

You don’t have to be on a stage or out in front of everyone to make a difference. Sometimes serving simply starts with seeing a need and being willing to step in.

Dimitri family, we’re glad we FINALLY caught you long enough to get your picture 😂, but more than anything, we’re thankful God brought your family to TRC. Thank you for jumping in from the very beginning, for loving people well, and for always being willing to serve wherever you’re needed. We’re so glad you’re part of the TRC family! ❤️
