KC Holy Trinity council #4047

09/10/2026

We are sad to report the passing of our Financial Secretary Henry Peters. Henry served in his role for over 30 years and, as State FS Trainer, helped many men throughout the state learn and excel in their role.

Henry’s visitation is 9/14 from 3-7 at Burns Funeral Home in Crown Point. We will be leading a rosary service at 6:30.

His Mass of Christian Burial will be 9/15 at 10 at Our Lady Queen of Martyrs, North Campus, in Merrillville.

May he rest in peace. His legacy will live on in our council, our parish, and the order.

Andrean Family, we are reaching out with a special call-out for parents, students, and alumni to help us unload and place classroom furniture on Tuesday, July 28, in preparation for the new school year.

We will have three volunteer waves available at 8:00 AM, 9:30 AM, and 11:00 AM. Volunteers may park in the Stracks parking lot (tailgate area) and will then be directed to the appropriate door for unloading and classroom placement. While most of campus will still be closed off, we will organize a clear path to help volunteers safely and efficiently assist with this work.

This effort carries special meaning for our community. Just as parents and students helped with furniture delivery and placement when Andrean first opened in 1959, we are inspired to offer this same act of symmetry for the next chapter in Andrean’s history.

If you are able to help, RSVP so we can plan accordingly and assign volunteers to the appropriate time wave. RSVP at https://forms.gle/Mz9yMzh5sDpPYhck7

Please note that volunteers must wear closed-toed shoes. Also, due to the ongoing work on campus, there will be no opportunity to visit any other areas except the designated path to and from classrooms.

Thank you for considering this opportunity to support Andrean. We are grateful for your help and look forward to working together as we prepare for the year ahead.

Go Niners!

Have you ever thought of joining the Knights? It’s a lot easier than you’d think!

1. Go to kofc.org/joinus
2. Fill out some information about yourself (don’t worry, there aren’t any difficult questions!).
3. For preferred council number, while we obviously would prefer you to select 4047, there’s a council locator you can use to find your local council.
4. Use BlessedMcGivney to get free dues for the first year!

Once submitted, any forms for 4047 go to our Grand Knight, Chris Ruderschmidt, and our District Deputy, Stephen Healey. Someone will then be in contact with you to invite you to a meeting to meet the other guys (though chances are you already know them at Mass!).

Feel free to stop any Knight at church if you have any questions and would like to know more.

Knights come from every stage of life. Join the Knights of Columbus as we celebrate role models in a world that needs men who lead, serve, protect & defend.
