THE COMMUNITY GRIEF JOURNAL

Each Tuesday evening, our Grief Support Group makes space to reflect, write, remember, and—when we feel comfortable—share.

This week, our journal prompt was:

“What is something grief has changed about you that you didn't expect?”

Grief changes us in ways we don't always recognize right away. Maybe you're more compassionate than you once were. Maybe you're less patient. Perhaps the things that used to seem important don't anymore. You may worry more, love differently, appreciate ordinary moments, or find yourself becoming someone you never expected to be.

There is no right answer.

We thought this conversation was worth taking beyond our Tuesday night group, so we're starting The Community Grief Journal and inviting you to join us.

You can answer in the comments, write your response privately, or simply spend a few minutes thinking about it.

So many years have gone by, and I’m so thankful that God has blessed me with another birthday. ❤️ I feel truly blessed and grateful to the McCalebs, my employers and dear friends, for making my birthday so special. I’m so thankful for their kindness, love, and thoughtfulness. Feeling very blessed and grateful today! 🎂🙏❤️
