The October CTR staff meeting included a soup and bread contest, and a nod to our excitement over the Brewers going to the World Series! Staff members had time to talk, play a few baseball-related games, and vote for their favorite soups before getting down to ministry matters. It was a great time of fellowship and joy with our staff team!
(And for those who are competitive, Hannah from Children’s Ministry and Pastor Deb were our cooking contest winners! 🏆)

If you are a discerning listener with the compassion and heart to walk those who are hurting through the healing process, we hope you'll be apply our 2027 Lay Counseling Class. The class is open to anyone who has successfully completed the prerequisite: Character Development class. If you're interested, be sure to apply this week on the CTR app or website under the Adults tab. (The link to our website is in our Facebook profile.) The application process closes November 1.

Becoming a CTR Lay Counselor requires attendance at three intensive weekend classes in January, April and September (Thurs. night, Fri. night, and Sat. morning), 24 hours of practice with a student partner, 24 sessions participating in a Journey Group and 10 hours of individual observation.

In John 15:9 and 11, Jesus says, "As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Now remain in my love...I have told you this so that my joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete." We can experience His joy by remaining in His love, abiding in Him, walking with Him, learning to trust Him and enjoying His presence.

You're invited for Sunday worship at 8:45 or 10:45 am. We will have Children’s Ministry (infants – grade 6) during both services, with interpretation for the Deaf during the 8:45 am service. Paul begins, “Follow God’s example, therefore, as dearly loved children.” That order matters. We learn to forgive because Christ loved us first, and moved toward us in mercy. So we can begin walking in love, moving our hearts toward mercy for others too.
