The Ouachita Baptist Association Women’s Ministry held their annual Ladies’ Day, Saturday, June 13, 2026 at Salem Baptist Church. There was a good turnout of ladies who enjoyed singing uplifting songs of worship, sharing a delicious brunch, and an encouraging devotional titled, “A Day with a Psalm” covering Psalm 119. Thank you to the OBA Women’s Ministry Team for their hard work and dedication to bring this opportunity to connect and fellowship with Christian ladies.

Schools out! Time to start filling in the 2026 summer calendar of events. Make sure you mark your calendar for Salem Baptist Church’s Vacation Bible School, Emerald Crossing. It will be an Irish adventure through Psalm 23. VBS is July 20 – July 24, 5:55 p.m. to 8:10 p.m. Sunday Celebration will be July 26, 11:00 a.m.

Don’t forget. We will be meeting at First Baptist Church of Mena this Wednesday, May 20th at 6:00 p.m. to support Maddox in the State Bible Skills, Drills & Thrills competition in lieu of our regular Wednesday evening kid friendly meal and Gospel Project program. See you there!

The Ouachita Baptist Association Women’s Ministry hosted a luncheon for Administrative Professionals Day for associational church secretaries and clerks on Wednesday, April 22, 2026 at the Ouachita Baptist Association Office. A delicious lunch was served, and a short devotional was presented on The Good Shepherd of Psalm 23. Attendees would like to thank the OBA Ladies Ministry for the time of fellowship, recognition and appreciation gifts.

The Men’s Mission Team at Salem Baptist Church held a youth turkey hunt at Camp Brewer in Shady on April 11, 2026. There was one turkey harvested. The men fixed the hunters a hearty brunch. Plans are being made for a bigger and better hunt next year. Thanks to Gerald Brewer for the use of his facility.
