“The Easy Way Out”
Convicted again, toes getting really sore! Why do I find it easier to pick up the clutter off the stairs than to eradicate the clutter and un-Christlike behavior in my own life?!? Self-righteous (rather than righteous) indignation prompts me to behave inappropriately. It’s hard to parent…and to grandparent, but it’s so worthy of our efforts. With God’s help, ONLY, I know I can love and live wisely. May it be so. 🙏🏻

Specific prayer requests for Sean Couch if churches are willing to pray for him today and beyond.🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

Please pray:
1. The fluid completely stops and the cancer cells in this fluid is gone.
2. His pain decreases - it is starting to rise again.
3. He can eat without discomfort.
4. He gets stronger.
5. The nanoknife surgery heals and works just like it is designed to despite the setbacks he has had from the fluid (ascites) that began weeks before the surgery .

After a Summer break, Presbyterian Women resumed meeting on the first Saturday of the month, today! A delightful breakfast was provided by Tommy Myers, including Belgian waffles, compotes, fresh fruit, mocktail mimosas and chicken tenders! Linda Spurgin led Lesson 1 of the 2026-3027 PW Horizons Bible Study, United Through Christ, Bound to Each Other (Paul’s First Letter to the Corinthians). Moderator Jamie Malloy conducted the business meeting with reports from Secretary Kris Batte, Treasurer Delta Reed and Shepherd’s Table Committed Head Theresa Gilchrist. It was a very productive meeting!🍂🌻🍁
