There is a nonperishable food collection bin in the Gathering Area of our parish. While donations are welcome throughout the year, during November we are especially collecting canned goods and nonfood essentials.

The need is even greater this year, and every donation is greatly appreciated.

As we give thanks for God’s blessings, let us share those blessings with our neighbors in need. Through these simple acts of generosity, we answer Christ’s call to feed the hungry and care for one another.

Father Ed Zaorski accepts a proclamation from Wayne County Commissioner Cara Clemente honoring our parish’s 100th Anniversary. This recognition celebrates a century of faith, worship, service, and community that has touched countless lives across generations.

As we give thanks for the many families, clergy, religious, staff, and parishioners who have helped build our parish, we look forward with hope and gratitude to the next 100 years of sharing Christ’s love and mission.

A special Thank You to Melvindale Mayor Nicole Shkira and Wayne County Commissioner Cara Clemente for presenting proclamations to St. Mary Magdalen Parish on the occasion of our 100th Anniversary.

Both the Mass and the reception were well attended. It was good to see so many of our parishioners.
