A good friend pointed out that today is 8-28, which reminds her of Romans 8:28, a verse close to her heart. 💜

Life doesn’t always make sense, but Romans 8:28 reminds us that nothing in our story is wasted. God is working in ways we can’t always see—even in the hard, confusing, or painful moments. He’s not just watching from a distance; He’s actively weaving everything together for our good and His purpose.

Sometimes the “good” He’s doing isn’t about comfort or success—it’s about growth, strength, and a deeper faith that can’t be shaken. It’s learning to trust Him when the pieces don’t fit, to believe His plan is still perfect even when it doesn’t feel like it.

You might not understand what He’s doing right now, but one day you’ll look back and see how every tear, every delay, and every closed door had meaning. God’s purpose for you isn’t random—it’s intentional, eternal, and full of grace. Keep loving Him. Keep trusting Him. He’s turning it all for good. 🤍🙏🏻

During Lent, I started using the Glorify app as a daily devotional during my lunch breaks.

Today’s devotional explores the story of when Jesus feeds the 5,000. This was our scripture reading and message a few weeks ago.

Bring what you have to God, and He is able to multiply and provide abundance. Today’s devotional also reminds us that we can also find abundance in being grateful for what we have.

This was our closing hymn during worship yesterday, and it’s been stuck in my head all day. I was planning to write a post about it, and here it was already done. God is always working. ❤️ What does this hymn mean to you? How does it make you feel? It reminds me of Jesus’ message of breaking down boundaries and inviting all to the table.

"Freely, Freely" (no. 389 in The United Methodist Hymnal) was written by Carol Owens in 1972. Inspired by Matthew 10:8 — "Freely you have received; freely give" — this beloved hymn has become a congregational favorite for its simple, singable message about grace received and grace shared.

It reminds us that the love and forgiveness we've received from God isn't meant to be kept to ourselves — it's meant to be given away.

Today I noticed the stained-glass window at the front of our church, one that is overlooked because it sits quietly tucked to the side of the pulpit.

The white flowers can symbolize purity, innocence, and the renewal we receive through Christ. His love surrounds us eternally, just as the circle woven into the window reminds us.

Maybe we’re like this window sometimes. We can feel hidden, overlooked, or wonder if our story matters. But being unseen doesn’t mean being forgotten. Someone notices you, whether you know it or not.

Sometimes the most beautiful reminders of God’s grace are quietly there all along. And every one of us has a story worth seeing and sharing. ❤️

Don’t let your faith end at the church doors.

The world doesn’t need more people who simply attend services. It needs people who carry the heart of Jesus into everyday life.

Be the Church in the way you speak.
In the way you forgive.
In the way you love people who can offer you nothing in return.

Because sermons can inspire people for a moment,
but a life that reflects Christ can impact someone forever.

So after the final song ends and the lights go off,
keep preaching the Gospel with the way you live.

Be the Church beyond the walls. 🤍🙏🏻

There’s something about being in the church in the evening, the sunlight shining through in a different direction than Sunday morning. This window at the back of the church says, “I am the bread of life.”

Physical bread sustains the human body; personal connection with Jesus, “The Bread of Life,” sustains the human spirit.

Yesterday’s message was, “Bring What You Have.” Sometimes that looks like simply bringing your heart to Jesus.
