Scott Duck Ministries

Scott Duck Ministries Scott Duck is a blind Christian author and speaker who has learned first hand that God's strength is made perfect in weakness. I am completely blind.

I have faced a lot of tribulation in my life, much of it because of my blindness. However, The Lord has always helped me to bear up against adversity and He has used my blindness to help me to reach people for Him. I am called to Christian ministry, through writing and speaking. My next book details my Christian testimony. it deals with how God has helped me to bear up against adversity and how He

has used that adversity in my life. I also talk about my call to Christian ministry and how we can all overcome obstacles and limitations as we seek to fulfill God's purpose for our life. In addition to the book, I also give my testimony at churches and other organizations. I am also currently working on a series of Christian novels, the goal of which is to convey the hope that can be found in accepting Christ as Lord and Savior and then trusting Him through life after the gift of salvation. The first book in this series, "In Full View", was released in June 2014. The sequel, "View Finder", was released in August 2015. The next book in this series will be released in November of 2016.

When you think of God, what do you think of? Do you ever have doubts about is nature or His existence? Of course non-believers have doubts and it is normal for even believers to sometimes have doubts. Because it is normal to have these thoughts, at least occasionally, it is very important to address them. In order to do that, a couple of years ago, I wrote a series of 5 articles, entitled "Dealing With Doubt". I recently did a podcast series, based on the material from that article series. Here, I have compiled links to both the articles and podcasts, along with a brief explanation of what each deals with. It is my prayer that this material will be a helpful resource for those who deal with doubt.

When you think of God, what do you think of? Do you ever have doubts about is nature or His existence? For nonbelievers, and even for believers (at least occasionally), such doubts are normal. Because it is normal to have these thoughts, it is very important to address them and that is what I am doing in this SDM podcast series on doubts. This is installment 5, dealing with the doubt that arises when we push on through the initial doubt, when we basically say "Lord, I believe; help my unbelief" (Mark 9:24) and things still don't go the way we want or the way we had planned. Have you ever been there? I have and I talk about that in this podcast.

Because it is normal to have these thoughts, it is very important to address them and that is what I am doing in this 5 part SDM podcast series on doubts. This is installment 4, dealing with the issue of Christians sometimes lacking faith in He in Whom we profess faith. Jesus encountered people who were like us in this regard, including, sometimes, His disciples. How did He deal with these people and these issues? I talk about these things in this podcast.

This is installment 3, continuing to deal with the question of why, if He exists, does God allow suffering. That's a really good question and I don't have a nice, neat, one size fits all answer. However, I do have some thoughts, which I began to discuss in part 2 and I now continue with in part 3 of this podcast series.

Mother's day is coming up. We look at social media and we see stories of what sound like super moms. We read Scripture like some of the verses in Proverbs 31 which seem to describe the perfect woman. If we focus too much on these things, it can be easy to get discouraged. However, the most notable mothers in the Bible were far from perfect. It isn't about being perfect. It's just about doing your best to be Godly and letting God handle the rest. Scott explores a few thoughts concerning this in this SDM article.

Scott talks about these things in this podcast.

As I am writing this, on 4/21/2026, tonight, as part of the "America Reads the Bible" event, President Trump is scheduled to read 2 Chronicles 7:11-22, from the Oval Office. The reading of Scripture is always a good thing but there are a couple things to keep in mind here. We must keep our focus on the Scripture itself, not on the man reading it, even if that man is the president of the United States. Also, we must keep in mind that this particular passage of Scripture, when written, was God addressing Israel, in the context of Solomon dedicating the temple. The United States is not Israel and President Trump is not Solomon. This passage does have application to Christians in the United States but we must be careful how we apply it.

There will likely be a lot of focus on one verse in particular. 2 Chronicles 7:14 says “if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land”. You see and hear this verse thrown out there a lot, often on social media. It is often just thrown out there, with no commentary at all. When commentary is offered, the verse is often misapplied. It is helpful to take it apart and examine it, piece by piece, because there is much more there than one may think, just based on a casual reading of it.

If you would like some insight into how to correctly apply this verse to our lives as Christians, please visit the Scott Duck Ministries website and read the article entitled "Healing For Our Land", posted in November of 2025.

I am Scott Duck, of Scott Duck Ministries. In the latest SDM article, I talk about Pastors leaving the Christian church. Why does it happen? What are they saying? Do they have valid points? If even pastors are leaving it, why would others want to join it? In this article, I begin to let you see my heart concerning this issue.

Scott Duck is completely blind, in both eyes. About 29 years ago, despite a lot of fervent prayer, God allowed Scott to lose all of his eyesight. How should Christians approach prayer and how should we respond when God does not answer in the way that we would like. This is an issue that we all face. In this podcast, Scott talks about what God has taught him about this, as God has walked with him through all of his blindness related adversity. May it give you hope, as God walks with you through whatever adversity you may be facing.
