Silver Lake Camp Friends Week:
May 15- May 21, 2026
(Info in letter below and project lists in comments))
Hello Friends,
Another year is unfolding before us, and once again we find ourselves standing on the edge of a new summer
season. I’ve heard from some of our groups that their weeks are already full! We are expecting another large
summer at Silver Lake.
Last Summer, 7,250 campers came through our doors — the largest season in our history. Many of you were
here last year helping prepare the grounds, buildings, flower beds, cabins, and workspaces. What you did during
Friends of Silver Lake week directly impacted those 7,250 lives. Your hands helped prepare holy ground.
I cannot overstate this: camp changes lives. For many students, it is the most transformative week of their young
lives. It is where they encounter Jesus in a way that becomes personal and unforgettable. In a culture that
continues to shift and drift, camp remains one of the clearest places where truth is proclaimed and hearts are
softened. We see it every single summer — week after week — students surrendering their lives to Christ,
sensing His call, finding healing, discovering purpose.
And now, we prepare again.
We would love to invite you to join us for our 2026 “Friends of Silver Lake” Volunteer Work Week. We will
begin with dinner on May 15th and conclude after breakfast on May 21st. Lodging and meals are provided, and
there is no cost to attend — we simply ask that you RSVP so we can prepare well for everyone.
There is truly something for everyone to do. Large projects and small ones. Construction and repairs.
Landscaping and grounds work. Painting. Organizing. Cleaning. Sewing. Small detail work that no one sees —
and big projects that everyone will notice. Everything matters. Every nail driven, every w**d pulled, every
stitch sewn becomes part of a story God tells in the life of a student months later.
Last year, your efforts helped position the camp to receive our largest season ever. This year, with weeks
already filled, we believe God is preparing to do it again. We want to be ready — spiritually and physically.
If you are retired, semi-retired, or simply have a heart to serve, this week is a tremendous way to invest in the
next generation. It is meaningful work, sweet fellowship, shared meals, laughter, prayer, and the quiet joy of
knowing you are part of something eternal.
Please let us know if you are coming so we can plan meals, lodge rooms, and RV spaces accordingly. You may
call the camp office at (509) 299-3721 or email us at [email protected] to RSVP or ask any questions.
Dara and I are deeply grateful for each of you. The Lord has used this week year after year to move the camp
forward, and we are excited to see what He will do this time.
We hope you can join us.
For Him,
Terry and Dara Andrews
