Seminarians and Father Morin from the Lincoln Diocese have embarked on a pilgrimage from St. Benedict Parish in Nebraska City since May 19th. They are now in McCook at St. Patrick Parish and will conclude June 16th at St. Joseph Parish in Benkelman.

The seminarians all agreed the cooler evenings have been very welcoming on their pilgrimage, but the random body pains not as much!

Dylan Beck said he has found out one’s body is capable of more than you would think. Father Morin said the low for him was one morning when he didn’t get coffee!

Colter Fulton said the group has been reading Willa Cather, American author known for her novels of the life on the Great Plains which is very fitting for the young men as they walk the plains of Nebraska.

Alec Langan, 2017 St. Patrick School alum, is thrilled to be back at his home parish and school. He said, “St. Patrick is my second home”.

These young men are all experiencing different highs and lows of their pilgrimage, but at the end of the day, their focus on building a deep, daily relationship with Christ, is what they are striving for.

Stay tuned for more updates on the seminarians and please keep them in your prayers.
