❤️ Heart of the Homily | 23rd Sunday in Ordinary Time

🤔 To say it… or not to say it?

We’ve all been there. Do I speak up? Do I keep it to myself? Are my words helping—or am I better off staying quiet?

This week, Father Eric Schild challenges us to think about our words, our relationships, and what it means to speak with love, truth, and purpose.

Sometimes love calls us to say the hard thing. Sometimes wisdom tells us to hold our tongue. The challenge is inviting God into the decision. 🙏

❤️ This week’s takeaway: Before we speak, ask: Is it true? Is it necessary? Is it loving?

💍✨ Talk about a dynamite couple! ✨💍
What a JOY to celebrate Savannah Wagener & Liam Anderson as they said “I do” and were united in the Sacrament of Holy Matrimony at St. Joe’s! ❤️💒

Savannah & Liam’s joy was contagious, their love for one another was so evident, and the excitement surrounding these newlyweds made for one beautiful Wedding Mass!

May Christ always remain at the center of your marriage, may you never stop laughing together, and may the joy you felt on your wedding day follow you through a lifetime of adventures together. 🙏❤️

Congratulations, Mr. & Mrs. Anderson! 🥂💍 We are so blessed to have been a small part of your journey to the altar!

💦✝️ Welcome to the Family of God!

What a joy it is to celebrate the newest members of our Catholic family through the Sacrament of Baptism! 🤍

Through the waters of Baptism, we are given new life in Christ and welcomed into His Church. Each baptism is also a beautiful reminder to all of us of our own call to live as beloved sons and daughters of God.

Please join us in praying for these little ones, their parents, and their godparents as they begin this beautiful journey of faith together. 🙏

May they always know how deeply they are loved by God and may St. Joe’s always be a place they are proud to call their spiritual home. ❤️

Welcome to the Church, little ones!

⛪ Hidden Treasures of St. Joseph | Final Chapter: Our Church Home

Over the past several weeks, we've explored the hidden treasures of St. Joseph—from the front doors that welcome us, to the holy water font, the stained glass, the altars, the sacred spaces, and the many places where we encounter Christ.

Today, we step back and take in the beauty of the whole church.

This building has stood as a beacon of faith for generations. Within these walls, lives have been forever changed. Here, children become sons and daughters of God through Baptism. Couples begin their vocation in Holy Matrimony. Hearts are nourished by the Eucharist. Sins are forgiven. Loved ones are entrusted to God's mercy. Countless prayers have risen to heaven from this sacred place.

Yet the greatest treasure of St. Joseph isn't found in its architecture or artwork.

It's you.

The families who fill these pews each weekend. The volunteers who quietly serve. The children who laugh in our halls. The choir that lifts our voices in song. The faithful who come seeking Christ and leave strengthened to serve Him in the world.

Together, we are the Church.

Thank you for joining us on this journey through the Hidden Treasures of St. Joseph. We hope these glimpses have helped you see our parish with fresh eyes and a renewed appreciation for the beauty, history, and faith that make St. Joseph a place to call home.

"You also, like living stones, let yourselves be built into a spiritual house." — 1 Peter 2:5

May God continue to bless our parish family for generations to come. We can't wait to welcome you through these doors again soon.

God of all consolation,
open our hearts to your word,
so that, listening to it, we may comfort one another,
finding light in the darkness
and faith will carry us through.
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen.

❤️ Heart of the Homily | 22nd Sunday in Ordinary Time

Sometimes life really is a mixed bag of emotions.

This week, Father Eric Schild reflects on everything from the excitement (and chaos!) of back-to-school, to receiving a difficult news, to the sadness felt by so many with the passing of Dolly Parton.

Joy. Worry. Grief. New beginnings. Unexpected news. Life can hand us all of it—sometimes in the very same week.

So where is God in the middle of our mixed bag?

Father Eric brings it all back to this Sunday’s Gospel and reminds us to look beyond ourselves, remain humble, and recognize that through every high and low, God is right there with us. ❤️

Whatever your “mixed bag” looks like this week, bring it to Him. 🙏
