Our worship is traditional, our theology is rooted and grounded in the Scriptures, informed by the ancient tradition of the church, and applied to our lives with God's gift of re

ason guided by the Holy Spirit. Everyone is welcome here. Our main Worship Service is on Sunday at 10:00 a.m. The service is live streamed on this page. A simple service is offered Saturday at 6 PM. "No Leftovers" is a discussion of the lectionary readings, 8:30-9:30 on Sundays, before the main service, and on Wednesday at 6 PM at Jackson Avenue Coffee in Charleston. Morning Prayer is live streamed at about 7:45 most mornings. Our clergy, Father David Knox, would be happy to connect with you concerning our church, the Christian faith, or any pastoral or spiritual needs or concerns you have. Trinity Episcopal Church Of Mattoon and Charleston invites the public to join them in an opportunity to "Pray for Peace." This hour of prayer is open to anyone who has a prayer need, but is especially created to pray for national & world peace.

"Because of the political division in our country and the wars in Ukraine, Gaza, Sudan, and now in the Strait of Hormuz, our church felt the need to do something positive rather than forever complaining to each other, stated lay leader Nancy Cole.

This prayer hour is available each Wednesday starting at noon at Trinity Episcopal Church, located on the corner of 22nd and Western Avenue. Participants are free to come and go as they please, sitting quietly in prayer and/or may also join in a brief prayer service at 12:15 and again at 12:45. Trinity hopes that the community will join them and make this a prayerful and positive change in the world.
