St David’s is a neighborhood church with a tradition of commitment to eastern Nassau County. We invite new friends to an encounter with the Living God. Our worship follows an order, which varies by season, with uplifting music, Bible reading, an inspiring message and a sharing in Holy Communion. Worship is a time to consider our lives, to be open to God’s voice, to be reminded of God’s promises, to pray, to be grateful, and to receive the gift of God’s unrelenting love with bread and wine. Children’s Ministry
At St David’s, we work to give children and youth a set of experiences, stories and tools that will serve as a foundation for the growth of their faith through their whole lives. We explore the stories of the Bible and practice what it means to follow Jesus. We believe that children also grow through learning how to pray and through making good friends. Sunday School
Every Sunday during the school year, children aged preschool through 5th grade gather for large group worship, followed by Christian instruction. Our weekly small group Bible lesson involves discussion, crafts, skits, games and prayer. Each year is capped with a grade level milestone, such as the Lord’s Prayer or memory verses. Youth Choir
Our youth choir is open to all grade school children, rehearsing every Sunday during the School year. First Communion
Fifth graders participate in five classes each Spring with our Pastor to prepare them for receiving Holy Communion. Confirmation
We help teens craft an identity in Christ, and encourage and equip them to live out the call God has on their lives. Our middle school formation program involves weekly classes, following the themes of our Lutheran catechism. Youth Activities
Kids participate in weekend camps, day trips, service opportunities, and youth evenings.
