Help us welcome Isaiah Kenneth, born June 8th, weighing a little over 8 pounds and 21 1/2 inches long!! Mother and baby boy are doing wonderful, we thank God for this amazing gift of another baby born drug and alcohol free!

Wednesday’s Graduate Spotlight
Meet Brad and Jordan, who went through our Couples Program. They spent what seemed like a lifetime in addiction, darkness, and shame. In 2024, their lives changed when they found God and His love! Read their story and know things can change for you!

“Brad and I spent our whole adulthood in addiction, desperation, shame, guilt, homelessness, incarceration, just absolute darkness; seeing absolutely no other way of "life".

We came into True Purpose in fall of 2024 and this was absolutely one of the best decisions we ever made! The fertile soil True Purpose provided for us is where we met Christ, and learned how to establish a relationship with him. Our daughter Oaklynn, was True Purpose’s baby #43!! The Lord has restored my relationship with my 6 year old daughter! We are truly blessed and favored beyond measure, and it’s all because of our yes to Jesus and laying down our own lives!!

We are extremely grateful for True Purpose, for providing a safe place to recover from the world, and leading us to the feet of our Father! We will be 2 years sober and free in July!! Praise God for the life we have today!”

Meet Lynda, after 15 years in addiction she did the most powerful thing someone can do… Saying yes to God’s call for her life! Now she is walking in total freedom! Please read her story and know your yes can move mountains!

“My name is Lynda Wylie and before coming to True Purpose I spent over 15 years in the absolute desperation of addiction, homelessness, incarceration, and hopelessness. I had completely given up on ever having a better life and didn’t feel worthy of one.

When I was offered a chance to come to True Purpose I never thought I would be able to complete a program or stay clean but I started with the smallest act of obedience and just said YES. That’s all it took. Jesus met me right there and surrounded me with people who were able to love me, lead me to Him and show me how to find healing and His precious grace.

Today, I’m over two years clean, sit next to my son every week in church surrounded by family, have a wonderful job, restoration with my family I never thought possible, a healthy relationship that is the most amazing blessing , and sisters in Christ from True Purpose who lift me and up and encourage me daily. I have my own home. I have a life that’s abundantly blessed. I have a foundation that will never be shaken. True Purpose led me to Jesus and from that point on I have been forever changed.”

EXCITING NEWS!

True Purpose Ministries has officially been selected as an Implementation Partner to help bring hope, encouragement, and life-changing mentorship to incarcerated men in Morgan County Correctional Complex!! We are excited to partner with the Governor’s Faith-Based Initiative Office to see lives changed through the power of mentorship!

We are currently seeking Christian men who are willing to invest in someone’s future by becoming a volunteer prison mentor. A mentor should be a person of integrity, committed to their faith, willing to complete the required training and screening process, and dedicated to building a positive, consistent relationship with an individual seeking transformation and reentry success.

If you’ve ever wanted to make a lasting impact, this is your opportunity to help change a life while advancing the Kingdom of God.

Glory to God!!

What a beautiful evening celebrating so many of our men, women, and couples who achieved a powerful accomplishment!! These students have done 18 plus months sober from drugs and alcohol, working hard for themselves and their families. We heard stories of restoration and growth, all because of their obedience to God and His true calling on their lives! 

A special thanks to Forest Hill Baptist Church of Maryville, TN and Pastor Gary for opening their doors and hearts to our ministry!

Wednesday Graduate Spotlight
Meet Logan, a kind, hard working friend. His drug use started when he was only 14 years old, then one night his life was forever changed by the goodness of God! Read his story and know it’s not too late!

“For me it all started in a chicken coop at 14 years old, trying drugs for the first time and for years I’d just laugh it off when someone said it was just a gateway drug. Then 6 years later I would be introduced to a harder drug and my life would forever change from that day forward. I didn’t care about anything, I sold my car and I stole from my family members to feed my addiction. That went on forever years living in darkness until i was blinded by a flashlight by the Monroe County DTF as they raided my house and thought I was for sure on the next bus for TDOC but my ride out of the jail was with the one and only Stephen Dees taking me to True Purpose Ministries.

There I learned it’s not about religion it’s about a relationship with The Living God. I was the prodigal son coming home. I was given new clothes and shoes. I was fed. Mentally I was still lost at this moment cause all this was still new to me, but spiritually I had been found. Later I had come to find out it was true. Whoever you hang around you become just alike because the word of God tells us in 1st Corinthians 15:33 that “ bad company corrupts good character.” I was like a child who just needed to soak in all the milk and honey I was being given and not just work the program for the courts sake but let the program work me for my own sake and make sure these seeds are planted on good fertile soil. I am a son of God I have learned to walk in humility with integrity.”

Today we thank Jesus Christ and the American Soldiers who have lost their life defending our freedom. As we go throughout our day, please remember to take the time to pray for the families that have lost a loved one in the military. This is what Memorial Day is all about.
