Been under conviction lately as I've been reading through Holiness by J.C. Ryle. 📖 I referenced Ryle in Sunday's sermon, and here's a quote from what I read this morning:

“We must be holy, because this is the most likely way to do good to others. We cannot live to ourselves only in this world. Our lives will always be doing either good or harm to those who see them. They are a silent sermon which all can read.”

As someone who regularly teaches from God's Word, I can easily forget that the “sermon” of our lives is often what people are paying the most attention to. 👀📖

So here's my encouragement for all of us this week: Live a holy life! ✝️🔥 Being in your 20s is no excuse to slack off. 💪

1️⃣ **Dinner this Wednesday! 🍔🌭**
We’ll be having dinner in the **Outback at 6:00 PM**. If you’re planning on coming, **mark yourself as attending below** so we can get a good headcount! 👍

2️⃣ **Pickleball this Tuesday! 🏓🔥**
I’m in charge of pickleball this week, and attendance has been a little low. That means **more playing time for you!** 😂 If you’ve never played before and want to learn, come on out—I’ll teach you what I know! 🏓😄

3️⃣ **Interested in teaching or preaching? 📖🎤**
One of the things that helped me the most in seminary when I was learning how to teach and preach was doing **sermon readings with Pastor Brent**. I’m scheduled to preach this Sunday, so I thought I’d open this up to any of you guys who are interested in teaching or preaching.

I’ll be walking through my sermon on **“The Church of Philadelphia”** ⛪📖. You’ll get a copy of my manuscript and have an opportunity to **critique what I’ve prepared so far**. It should be a great opportunity to learn together!

Lots going on this week! 😄🙌 I’ll send out a few more reminders on Wednesday.

Hey everyone! 👋😊

Wanted to let you know while I was thinking about it—since we have the whole outback to ourselves next week, I wanted to offer supper! 🙌

Caleb, Jessica, and Mrs. Denice will be bringing hot dogs, burgers, and maybe some sides for us! 😋🍔🌭🥗

We'll be starting at 6:00 PM so we can eat, hang out, and enjoy some fellowship before heading into the Modular for our study. 📖🤝

Keep an eye out for the event invite 📅👀. Knowing how many people are planning to come will be really helpful so we can make sure we have enough food for everyone!

Just wanted to make sure everyone knows that Momentum IS meeting tomorrow and next Wednesday! 🙌 Even if the rest of the church do not have any activities going on. 6:30 PM! ⏰

I also wanted to give you a little heads-up about tomorrow's Transformed episode. 🎥📖 We'll be discussing the topic of grief, but will also make some references to the difficult and sensitive topic of su***de.

If this is a particularly difficult topic for you, I'd encourage you to still come. I think this will be an important and worthwhile discussion.

For everyone else, please remember to approach the topic with care, compassion, and sensitivity as we work through the discussion questions together. 🤍🙏

Also, a quick praise! 🙏 Ela finished her second infusion and is on her way home from Philadelphia tonight. 🚗 We're so thankful for how things have gone!

Please continue to pray that she would have little to no side effects from the infusion and that the Lord would continue to sustain her health 🙏

Thank you all for your faithful attendance and for your thoughtful participation in our discussion on self-harm last night. 📖 I really appreciated the way everyone engaged with such a sensitive topic, and I'm looking forward to hearing your thoughts as we continue through the rest of the Transformed series. 🙌

I also wanted to share an article I read today. Here's a short quote

"I have been so encouraged to have many... godly friends. These friends have caused me to walk more faithfully with Jesus. They have strengthened my resolve to share Christ. They have made me want to dig into God's Word more diligently. They have stirred me up to love and good works, and they have been a balm to my soul in the midst of difficulty."
