Rodeo4Jesus

Rodeo4Jesus We also teach about Jesus Christ while on horseback. We train horses and people in the "Round Pen of Life". John 14:6

We are a fellowship of cowboys and cowgirls that give free horseback riding opportunities to our local communities and have successfully trained rodeo horses for children for a number of years. We teach that God created a horse for mankind’s pleasure through solid training and a personal relationship built on trust and care through unspoken pressure. Symbolically, we teach that God created mankind to be trained on trusting in Jesus Christ for His pleasure and His glory forever by similar means.

STREET PREACHER SURVIVES GUNSHOT TO THE HEAD AND CHOOSES FORGIVENESS

At just 26 years old, military veteran and street preacher Hans Schmidt was sharing the Gospel on an Arizona street corner when he was shot in the head.

Despite the severity of his injury, Schmidt reportedly managed to gather his belongings and return to his church. His condition soon became critical, and doctors discovered that a bullet was lodged in his brain. He was placed in a medically induced coma while receiving intensive medical care.

Then his family, church, and community began praying.

Over the following weeks, Schmidt started making remarkable progress. About a month later, he was speaking again, and he eventually returned home to his wife and children.

But his testimony did not end with survival.

He chose forgiveness.

Reflecting on what happened, Schmidt said:

“I should not be alive… but by His grace and His love, I am still here.”

Speaking about the person responsible, he added:

“I forgive him.”

For Christians, his response reflects one of the most challenging teachings of Jesus.

Forgiveness does not mean ignoring evil or abandoning justice. It means refusing to allow hatred and bitterness to control our hearts.

Matthew 5:44

“Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you.”

Romans 12:21

“Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.”

Schmidt survived an attack that could have taken his life.

But perhaps an equally powerful part of his testimony is what he refused to carry afterward:

Hatred.
