Bon Secours Young Adults are a community of people in their 20’s and 30’s, single and married, centered in relationship with Jesus Christ and committed to being the Good News of compassion, healing, and liberation. Nourished by and flowing from our love for God and each other we are:

• Community: Joyful and diverse we come together in prayer, laughter, creativity and hope ready to offer welcome,

support, encouragement, challenge and companionship to each other and all whom we encounter.

• Faithful: As developing leaders connected to the Catholic Church through the charism and tradition of the Sisters of Bon Secours, we seek to embrace ever more fully our living faith in a loving God.

• Servants: Called to be “good help to those in need,” we are dedicated to “defending and caring for all of creation and to crying out with others against injustice and all that diminishes life on earth” as we seek to bring wholeness to body, mind and spirit in our communities and world.

See. Love. Vote. is a nonpartisan campaign rooted in the Catholic Social Justice tradition to encourage Americans to get out and vote in the 2026 elections! Through postcard writing and other intentional programming, Bon Secours, alongside dozens of other faith-based partners, is connecting communities with the tools they need to be informed and engaged voters, inspired by the common good.⁠

Lauren just got back from a week in Chicago with our JPIC director, Simone, and Sr. Fran. We attended a training at Loyola for Catholic Organizers, mostly focused on immigration and human dignity, protecting voting rights, and care for creation, specifically the growing resource demands of data centers and their impact on local communities.

It was incredibly encouraging to be in a nonpartisan space with people from different backgrounds, all grounded in the shared belief that “a just society can become a reality only when it is based on respect for the transcendent dignity of the human person.” (Compendium of the Social Doctrine of the Church)

Over the course of a weekend, we gathered a group of women for retreat centered on rest, community, and creating space for meaningful connection. We slowed down, stepped away, and embraced the rhythms of relaxation through meals and activities that prioritized sustainability and mutuality.

The theme of this year's Annual Assembly gathering was taken from Dilexi Te #120 "Christian love is prophetic: It works miracles and knows no limits"

We continued to discuss the Chapter Calls and reflected on what's been accomplished over the last two years and what we have in the works as a ministry family. We also did a "Blessing of Nurses."

Last week, in partnership with the Howard County Conservancy, the Sisters established an agreement to preserve a 32-acre are of forest owned by Bon Secours. This collaborative effort will work to ensure education, responsible access, and protection of natural water and air purification for the good of the public.
