Change the world! We currently offer our weekly worship service every Sunday morning beginning at 10am, with all services broadcast via Facebook Live and archived on our website. During main service, we have our Rise Kids classes available, as well as a nursery area, and activities for middle & high schoolers. In addition to our Sunday morning experience, we have monthly ministry gatherings with our Men's Breakfest every second Saturday morning of each month at 730am at the church, and our Women's Ministry get-together every second Tuesday evening of each month at 6pm at the church. Rise Church also plays host to various special concerts and faith-based entertainment and outreach events, and is available for use as a venue for weddings, celebrations of life, family reunions, baby and bridal showers, and so much more. Rise Church partners with various Marion, OH-based ministries and non-profit organizations year-round, providing ample opportunity for the congregation to get involved and help serve the community.

Good Wednesday morning, everyone! Just wanted to jump on here with a quick church life update.

As most may be aware of by now, RCC will be holding its final services at the 2434 Smeltzer Road location over the next 4 Sunday mornings, with our last one being Sunday September 20th that doubles as our RCC Fall Party & Soup Social! *final gathering at Smeltzer Road location*. A note that our service on Sunday September 13th will serve as a celebration of the many eras of ministry that have been held at this location between Celebration Christian Church, Rise Church, and of course as it stands today as Rise Christian Church. The worship team will be leading us in many different songs, and I will have a brief word to share, but this will definitely be a full time of worship and praise!

Now onto this picture. This space is known as The Cottage, and it is located in the lower level of The Remnant Tea & Coffee here in downtown Marion. Beginning Thursday evening October 8th, this space will serve as the temporary home for RCC as begin our transplanting journey. We are SO blessed and grateful to the entire Remnant family for allowing us the opportunity to not only utilize this wonderful space, but also to have it so we don't miss a beat and are able to still gather together, albeit in a bit of a different and unique feel. And it is that uniqueness that we feel is a powerful and timely part of our story, and more so than that, an amazing new chapter in what, where, why, and who God has called us to be as a part of the local church body of Marion County.

You may ask yourself: what does church on a Thursday night at a coffeehouse look like? That is an excellent question! At least to start, here is how Thursday evenings with RCC will look:

We aim to begin at 630pm, running until roughly 730pm. We will begin as we have during our Sunday mornings with a time of welcome and worship, prayer, communion and offering, and message. Given the setting, one of the highest priorities during this chapter will be conversational and relational FELLOWSHIP. These gatherings will serve as a valuable time to get to know one another on a deeper level, engage in prayer and study together, and also have interaction with various members of the local church community seeking a mid-week time of worship and fellowship to take part in.

And of course, please come to these gatherings with as much intent as as you can to support the great local business that is The Remnant, and grab some great food and beverage before or after we get together! Show them how much you appreciate them opening their doors to us, please!

Finally, as we find ourselves in this unique position, we will be more proactive in utilizing time, talent, and resources to come alongside and help shore up ongoing ministries and non-proftis in our city. We are a small but faithful congregation, and hope that we can be a help to those who are helping others as we continue to follow the paths He is leading us down.

Well, if you're still reading this, I appreciate your commitment to typed word! πŸ€£πŸ™ All of that to say this:

God is so good! PLEASE join us in prayer as we take these next, new steps, and that above all the name of Jesus is lifted high, and that the Greatest Commandment is carried out with each new day! We llook forward to seeing you all during the next 4 Sunday mornings at 10am at 2434 Smeltzer Road, then at The Remnant downstairs in The Cottage starting Thursday evenings at 630pm! Onward!! πŸ˜€

"Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity."

Colossions 3:12-14

Join us as we continue to make this journey together, taking on challenges, growing in faithfulness and desiring more of Jesus in our lives each new day. And it is the blessing of new days that gives us opportunity to plant deeper roots, and allowing the bonds of peace to unify the church, and carry out the greatest commandment.

Join us at RCC this Sunday at 10am at 2434 Smeltzer Road in Marion, OH for worship, fellowship, and message! πŸ˜€

Excellent time at Men's Breakfast this morning! We want to invite everyone to join us tomorrow morning at 10am at 2434 Smeltzer Road from a powerful time of worship and fellowship, and the next entry into our Make Every Effort message series as we dive into Romans 8: 31-39 and 1 John 4: 1-6. And, just a few friendly reminders that our last gathering at the current location is Sunday September 20th, which will double as our annual Fall Party/Soup Social. The Sunday morning before that, which is September 13th, will serve as our last "full" worship service. This particular Sunday will be dedicated to an extended time of praise and worship, and a special message from Pastor Jeremiah, as we prepare to truly begin the transplanting process, and *temporarily* plant our roots at The Remnant Tea & Coffee on Thursday evenings starting October 8th at 630pm. God is good, the future is brightening, and we are so very blessed to not only have the opportunity to continue to gather together, but to have so much room for the spirit to lead and move, and to experience true growth in Christ.

So please, come and join us as we count down our last set of Sunday morning services at the current address, and then begin anew in October! In Jesus name, let's go and grow together! :-)

An important note from Pastor Jeremiah:

Good evening, everyone! I pray this finds everyone who happens to find this post doing well, being blessed, and enjoying these last weeks of summertime! Fall will be here before we know it, and with that of course is an ushering in of change.

And change is the topic of the day. Change is upon us here at RCC! And what a change it is. Some months back, we shared from our hearts to yours about our current building being put up for sale, as we seek to be faithful and obedient to what and where God is calling us. The building has in fact been sold! We praise God that another church body is going to be filling that space out on Smeltzer Road, continuing over a half-century of ministry impact held at 2434. Rise Christian Church aka Celebration Christian Church was fortunate enough to have called this space home for the last two decades worth of that span. But now, God is moving us in a new direction, a new chapter beginning to be written, and more wonderful change in the name of Jesus being added to the story.

First, the timeline. The current chapter of this story will conclude on Sunday September 20th. That will be the final gathering for RCC at the current location. It was determined that the best way to bid farewell to our time at this space was to go out having one of our banner events from the last 5 years: our annual Fall Party/Soup Social! We will meet at our normal time of 10am for a brief time of acoustic worship, prayer, and a few words. Then, we will transition right into what will be a luncheon, filled with soups and fall goodies! We would love to invite one and all to not only come be a part of our last service at the Smeltzer Road location, but to bring a soup or chili to share, and come enjoy a time of vibrant fellowship and breaking of bread together! This will be a celebration of the various eras of ministry done at this location, and to pay homage to the many great times and memories that God has given us there. We will conclude the event with corporate prayer for each other, our leadership, families, and community as we begin to look towards the new horizon that God is laying before us.

And what is that horizon? Well, for the short term, it will look different. It will be change. It will be a bit of an adjustment. But it is a blessing from God to be able to not only have the opportunity to continue to gather together, but also to be able to breathe easier as we focus every effort on building for the long term of what He is molding this ministry to become for the generations to come.

Beginning Thursday evening October 8th, we will begin meeting at The Remnant Tea & Coffee here in downtown Marion, OH. Start and finish times are still being determined, but it will range in the 6pm to 745pm timeframe. Over the years, we have been so blessed to hold "Rise Night At The Remnant", a night of worship and fellowship at this wonderful coffeehouse, and what we will be doing Thursday evenings will loosely resemble these "Rise Nights", but with added intent. We will have praise, prayer, message, and fellowship, much like we have become accustomed to on Sunday mornings. This will be a casual, comfortable setting, and a frequent opportunity to support a great local Marion Made business as well as the local church. We are also still determining which portion of the space at Remnant we will be utilizing for these times of gathering, but will have full, finalized updates over the next several weeks. We are also working on other potential meeting spaces, unique opportunities to engage in local ministry, and also taking a look at locations that in the near future would enable us to either revive our Sunday morning service, or hold Sunday evening gatherings. The Lord is placing several potential options in front of us, but we are so thankful that The Remnant allowed us to be able to have a smooth, consistent transition and keep a weekly opportunity to get together readily available.

We are bathing every single step of these next chapters in heavy prayer, and we wholeheartedly ask that you all please join us in that. We are so very excited that God is illuminating the pathway before us to continue on as a church body, and even though it will take on a bit of a unique shape over the next several months on into 2027, we trust that His will is being done in Marion as it is in Heaven, that He will continue to provide, that He is moving in this city in mighty ways through the many amazing churches and ministries at work here, and that RCC is SO blessed to still be a small but growing part of that work. And that is why we are still here...

There is much work to be done!

As we officially begin the process of transplanting our church's roots into new soil, our collective focus is to further build upon that foundation, and emphasize the following as the most vital focal points of what the local church is genuinely all about for every member of the family:

Discipleship (Matthew 28: 19-20)
Fellowship (Hebrews 10: 24-25)
Worship (Psalm 150)
Kinship (Romans 12: 3-8)
Stewardship (1 Peter 4: 10)

As Christ speaks to the Disciples as recorded in Matthew 9: 37-38...

"Then he said to his disciples, β€œThe harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.”

Let us walk in alignment, in agreement with one another, build each other up, pray over and with one another, love one another with a Christlike love that conquers fear and pain, lift our voices in vibrant praise and worship, engage in iron-sharpening fellowship be it on a Thursday night, Sunday morning, Tuesday afternoon, any month, any year, however we can...and let the work that He does in us be the work that we do in going and making disciples of all nations! God is good, change is upon us, and now is the time to let our light shine in the city! :-)
