Our students are ON MISSION.

We’re challenging them to realize that sharing Jesus doesn’t always begin with words. Sometimes it starts with kindness, patience, listening, serving, and noticing the person everyone else overlooks.

Our prayer is simple: that others see Jesus through the way our students live.

Same school. Different stories. Same Savior.
Galatians 5:22–23

Last night at Core, we continued our conversation about what it means to have a real relationship with Jesus.

And our students responded.

“I’m done with just religion.”
“I don’t want to just know ABOUT Jesus—I want to KNOW Him.”
“I want a relationship with the Father.”
“I want MORE of Jesus.”

Students repented of sin. They prayed. They surrendered.

And you could see the weight begin to lift as they were reminded of this truth: because of Jesus, there is forgiveness. They don’t have to keep carrying what He has already forgiven.

THIS is why Core exists.

Not to simply give students another place to go on Wednesday nights.
Not just to play games, hang out, or give them more information about God.

We want them to encounter Jesus and know Him personally.

We can’t draw a single student to Jesus—that’s the work of the Holy Spirit. We simply get the privilege of being instruments He uses to point them toward Him.

And when you hear teenagers saying, “I want more of Jesus,” you know God is doing something.

Jesus, keep drawing this generation closer to You.

Less religion. More relationship.
Less knowing ABOUT Him. More KNOWING Him.

CORE Youth Parents — Here’s What’s Coming in September!
Our theme this quarter has been ON MISSION, and now that our students are back in school, that mission becomes even more important.
We don’t want our youth to simply survive another school year. We want them to understand that God has placed them in their schools, classrooms, teams, friend groups, and communities for a purpose.
Throughout September, we’ll continue equipping them to live that mission out — sharing their story, becoming students who pray first, standing strong under pressure, supporting one another, and learning what it looks like to represent Jesus wherever they go.
Parents, take a look at our September calendar and help your student stay connected. We have several special dates this month, including our Bonfire Night, Meet at the Stadium, and Core Worship.
And we’d love for you to keep the mission going at home. Ask them:
“Who is your one?”
Who is the person God has placed in your life to pray for, encourage, invite, and intentionally point toward Jesus?
The mission doesn’t stop when Core ends on Wednesday night.
We’re ON MISSION. Let’s change our schools by carrying Jesus into them.

COLOR WAR IS TODAY!

Parents — you’re invited too!

Come hang out with us, grab some food from the food truck, laugh at the chaos, and watch our students get absolutely COVERED in color.

And if you’re willing, we could use some referees! Whistles optional. Questionable calls expected.

Last night at Core, our own brother Denny shared a powerful message with our students about knowing their true identity.

Before the world tells them who they should be…
Before their feelings define them…
Before their thoughts convince them of something that isn’t true…

They need to know WHO they are and WHOSE they are.

They are sons and daughters of God.

When that truth becomes the foundation of their identity, they can begin to better understand and navigate their feelings, emotions, and thoughts without allowing those things to define them.

Feelings are real. Emotions matter. Thoughts can be powerful. But none of them get the final say about who we are.

Our identity starts with God.

We’re thankful for Denny investing in this generation and reminding our students of a truth we want planted deep in their hearts:

Know who you are.
Know whose you are.
Everything else starts there.
