The Meaning of Our Name:
“CHRISTIAN COVENANT FELLOWSHIP OF MINISTRIES”
“Christian”
Our identity is in Jesus Christ, not in any sectarian or denominational appellation. Yet the Person of Christ is the Center of our Faith. He is the only Way to God. The defense and confirmation of His Gospel, regardless of the cost --- they are our driving passion.
“Covenant”
This group is based upon relations
hip first: we want to be joined at the heart, not merely at the hip (carrying similar credentials). We believe that God brings His people together to mutually maximize our strengths and minimize our limitations. We are committed to all of the Body of Christ by means of the New Covenant. We are especially committed to those to whom we are joined within this distinctive covenant.
“Fellowship”
The word “fellowship” in the Bible is the Greek word “koinoneia”; it denotes a communion, a commonality, a sharing of all. We believe that there is not limit to what can be accomplished in the Body through a synergistic approach. It speaks of the true spirit of the “family of God”: unity and love.
“Ministries”
Whether one is a bishop, a pastor, a para-church ministry leader, or none of the above, all of us have something to share, and all have a common need for Bible-based relationship with those of like precious faith. A minister is a servant, and the Bible servant is a bond-slave. Our aim is to promote a sense of servant-leadership instead of celebrity-status seeking, among God’s chosen. WHAT DOES THE LOGO SYMBOLIZE? The Crest and Seal of The Christian Covenant Fellowship of Ministries:
The Crest of CCFM incorporates all the elements of our logo; yet it is transcendent in its clear symbolism, attesting to the Fellowship’s God-ordained purpose. CHRISTIAN (symbolized by the centralized CROSS);
COVENANT (the CHALICE, The New Covenant in His Blood);
FELLOWSHIP (the BREAD: the Word of God, Holy Communion, and koinonia- the communion / connectedness of the Saints);
of MINISTRIES (the TOWEL- symbolizing servanthood). The FIRE represents the Holy Ghost and the Glory of God – His Presence. The CROWN reminds us that the Gospel of the Kingdom of God is our mandate. The STALKS OF WHEAT represent the Harvest that God began to reap from mankind, beginning with the Firstfruits Man, Jesus Christ, which shall culminate in the last days. Man’s restoration to God’s original intention --- dominion --- shall come to pass, through the finished work of the God-Man, Christ Jesus.
