The Blessing of Giving over Receiving

What makes a good life? The world says get more, keep more, have more. But Jesus turns that upside down with a simple truth: "It is more blessed to give than to receive." (Acts 20:35)

This week we explored what generosity really means as followers of Jesus. It is not just about money. It is about a way of living, a willingness to share what God has placed in our hands, whether that is time, a listening ear, a bag of tomatoes from the garden, or simply showing up for someone who needs it.

We give because God has first been generous to us. In Christ, we see love that gives itself away completely. When we respond with that same generosity, we are not just doing something good. We are becoming someone new.

This week, look for one opportunity to give with no expectation in return. You just might find Jesus was right all along.
