Greenwood United Methodist Church was founded sometime between 1855 and 1860 and worshipped originally in a log school house built by Henry Copenhaver on his land. In 1869, a new structure was built and financed by money collected by Susan Flanagan Copenhaver who rode horseback around the area collecting money to finance construction.
