Sunday Recap: Back to the Place of Encounter
Yesterday’s message reminded us that life is full of choices—and one of the greatest choices we can make is to surrender what we’ve been carrying and pursue personal revival.
Pastor challenged us to remember the power of an authentic encounter with Jesus. Not just a routine prayer, not just someone else’s faith, and not just a memory from years ago—but the kind of encounter that changes how we walk, how we talk, and how we live.
In John 4, we saw Jesus meet the Samaritan woman at the well. He knew her story, her pain, her past, and her need—and He was waiting for her. That one encounter changed everything. She left her water pot behind and ran to tell others, “Come see a man…”
That is what real revival does. It starts personally, then spreads to families, churches, neighborhoods, and communities.
We were reminded to get back to the place where we were most hungry for God—the place where worship mattered, prayer mattered, the Word mattered, and His presence was everything. Personal revival begins when we return to that first love and say, “Lord, revive me again.”
As we step into this week, let’s be intentional. Pray boldly. Open the Word. Worship with purpose. Reach out to someone who has been missing. And don’t settle for a cold or distant faith when Jesus is still offering living water.
This week, get back to the place of encounter—and let God rekindle the fire within you.
