Welcome to Putnam Congregational Church - May 24, 2026!

Let us be thankful for all those who gave up their lives so that we can live free! Happy Memorial Day!

We continue our study of Luke's narrative of the Good News of Jesus Christ, beginning with Luke 9:12-27, in a message titled "A Shocking Agenda!"

Application – Luke 9:12-27 - The Critical Issues of Discipleship

1. What little thing do you need to place in Jesus’ hands? Do not despise the small things placed in the hands of a great Savior.

2. Are you trying to be the source instead of staying connected to the Source? These are not religious extras. They are how empty baskets keep being filled.

3. Who do you say Jesus is? Does my life show that Jesus is Lord?

4. Where is Jesus asking you to deny yourself? Discipleship becomes real in daily decisions.

5. Are you pursuing the whole world at the cost of your soul? The only safe place for your life is surrendered to Him.

Joshua 1:8
Study this Book of Instruction continually. Meditate on it day and night so you will be sure to obey everything written in it. Only then will you prosper and succeed in all you do

Join us at Putnam Congregational Church this Sunday, May 24th, at 10:15 a.m., as we explore how Jesus miraculously fed the multitudes with a meager offering.

This week, we will explore Luke 9:12-27 in a message titled "A Shocking Agenda," where, after Jesus feeds the multitude, He asks the probing question, "Who do YOU say that I am?"

1. Jesus Uses Our Inadequacy to Reveal His Sufficiency. Our inadequacy is not an obstacle to Jesus. It is an opportunity for His sufficiency to be revealed.

2. Jesus Supplies Abundantly, but Disciples Must Keep Returning to Him. Lasting ministry requires repeated dependence.

3. Jesus Is the Messiah, but Not the Messiah We Would Have Invented. We must not merely confess the right words about Jesus; we must understand and surrender to His way.

4. Following Jesus Means Denying Self, Taking Up the Cross, and Walking Behind Him. Discipleship is not admiration from a distance; it is daily surrender in motion.

We look forward to seeing you and are confident you will benefit from investing time with us.
