We have just heard from our pastor friend in Pakistan of the dire situation there due to COVID-19. It sounds like it is primarily due to the lockdown, and people being unable to work. Then in addition to that, Christians are being turned away from food distribution from their social services. The pastor is aware of over 4700 Christians in their area who have been denied. His team has brought in one truck of food and they were mobbed as they were distributing it. We have pictures of that, but can't post them on a public site. He reports that there are often 700-800 people outside their home asking for food. So they are planning to bring in five more trucks of food to distribute. It costs about $35 per family for a bag of items such as beans, rice, lentils, etc., that would last about a month.
We personally know this pastor and his wife and have been working with them for about five years. We hosted them a few years ago at a house meeting in our home in Arizona, and we regularly Skype in with them, preaching to some of the people in their country. Also one of our friends from here at BSSM ministered with them and stayed in their home in Pakistan, and gave a good report of their ministry. For those of you who know Harold Eberle, he and his wife, Linda frequently minister in Pakistan, and with this family’s ministry.
We want to help them in whatever way we can, and we’re asking you, our friends if you want to partner with us. We help support them periodically through GenAlive, our 501(c)(3). Anything you send would go through GenAlive, and would be tax deductible. Any amount would be appreciated.
