This morning, I was meditating once again on God's beautiful attribute of love, and how we desperately need to see His love manifest in the world we live in.
What the world needs now is LOVE.
What the Church needs now is LOVE.
Truthfully… we all need LOVE.
We were created to be loved and to love.
The greatest healing, the greatest transformation, and the greatest witness to the world will never come through anger, division, accusation, or offense. It will come through LOVE.
“We love because He first loved us.” — 1 John 4:19
God is worthy of our wholehearted love. He deserves our affection, our devotion, our worship, our attention, our surrender. Let us lavish our love upon Him with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength. There is nothing more beautiful than a life fully abandoned in love with Jesus.
But true love for God will always overflow into love for people.
When we truly encounter the love of God, it changes us. His love heals wounds, softens hardened hearts, quiets fear, and teaches us how to see others through Heaven’s eyes.
Maybe it’s time for all of us to be baptized afresh in His love.
Let His love wash over every hurt, disappointment, offense, fear, and bitterness. Let His love empower us to forgive. Let His love restore tenderness to our hearts again.
And then… let’s pour that love out freely and generously on everyone around us — without condition.
Love your family.
Love your neighbor.
Love those who are different from you.
Love those who misunderstand you.
Love your critics.
Love your enemies.
Jesus did.
Let’s become unoffendable people who refuse hatred, refuse division, and refuse to let darkness shape our response.
Love is still the more excellent way.
Love still covers.
Love still heals.
Love still wins.
May the world encounter Jesus through the way we love one another.
May you look for opportunities to pour His love and blessing into many today.
