Yesterday, Pastor Bryant and his family gathered to celebrate a remarkable milestone — his mother’s retirement from ministry after more than 40 years of faithful service!
For the past five months, the Clark family has also been quietly working on a special surprise. Together, they raised funds to refurbish a sacred space at Sky Lake, creating a lasting gift in honor of Pastor Jan’s years of ministry. Yesterday, they were finally able to reveal the project to her!
What a beautiful way to celebrate a lifetime of dedication, faith, and service. Congratulations, Pastor Jan, on your retirement !
Yesterday at Fairview United Methodist Church our dear friend, the Rev. Jan Clark was presented with a very special retirement gift by her children, Liz and Bryant. For the last five months, Pastor Jan's family and friends have been quietly raising money in coordination with the Sky Lake Foundation to go toward the refurbishment of Lakeside Tryst here at the lake. The project will also include the addition of an accessible entrance ramp and the planting of native species of flowers!

We are so glad that Liz and Bryant chose to honor their mom in such a thoughtful and that we were all able to keep it a secret for so long! We wish Jan well in retirement from active ministry after more than forty years of service.
