Prayer with Our Haitian Brothers and Sisters

They hunger for food. They seek pure running water. We seek joy in living. May we drink from each other. They wear the raiment of God's love and care. We gather clothes and supplies to share. May we continue to clothe each other. They give their food, housing, and hospitality. We give from our wealth. May we no longer be strangers but friends. They bri

ng trust and faith in a loving God. We supply medicines and health care. May we bring each other into life. They are imprisoned in eking out a living from rocky soil. We are imprisoned in our desire for many things. May we be instrumental in freeing each other. Mission and Vision Statement

St. Joseph the Worker in Maple Grove, MN, USA and Ste. Catherine d’Alexandre in Bouzy, Haiti began a sister-parish relationship in January 2009. Our shared vision is to create a long-term relationship, guided by the Word of God, that will impact our children and our children’s children. Compelled by God’s call, our mission is to grow in faith, love and service to one another. Working, praying, and being together with one another, we will develop a lasting relationship based on the Spirit of Jesus Christ, cross-cultural understanding, and mutual respect. In obedience to the Spirit, we will build a bridge where God’s blessings flow between our parishes, fostering a spirit of solidarity.
