Church of the Holy Trinity is a community of devout Episcopalians, new converts to the faith, periphery spiritual-but-not-religious, and affectionate Christmas and Easter faithful of all ages, sizes, sexual orientations, political affiliations, and socio-economic statuses. We are deeply rooted in the Anglican Tradition, which means we are uniquely and simultaneously both catholic and protestant an

d yet neither. We believe in the beauty of apostolic liturgical theology, the ministry of all the baptized, and in the mutual ministry and accountability of both having a bishop and a local governing body.

This year, at Camp Chickagami we’re hosting retreats for adults, families, and everyone in between — and there is a spot with your name on it.
Whether you're carrying the weight of the world, hungry for something deeper, looking for a few days in nature with people you love, or simply overdue for a weekend away from the noise — these retreats are designed for you. Each one is different in shape and spirit, but all share the same foundation: a place that has been forming people for nearly a century, good food, real community, and room to breathe.

🌿 Finding Peace: Spiritual Practices for Peacemaking July 17–19, 2026
A retreat with Bishop Hodges-Copple, rooted in Scripture and the Christian tradition of peacemaking. Expect teaching, worship, music, and time in nature — held at a pace that actually lets you land. Tiered pricing beginning at $380.
🧶 Contemplative Fiber Arts Retreat September 25–27, 2026
Bring a project you love — knitting, weaving, embroidery, felting, whatever calls to you — and spend a weekend working alongside others doing the same. Contemplative without being silent. 🌊 Days at the Lake August 6–9, 2026
Intentionally flexible. Come for the full offerings — worship, optional programs, creative activities — or simply enjoy the lake, rest, play games, and be present with the people you love. These days are yours to shape. Incremental pricing starting at $300 per person.
🔨 Labor Day Work Camp September 4–7, 2026
Work alongside other families doing meaningful tasks to help camp prepare for its winter rest, then enjoy downtime to swim, relax, and build community. Light work, good company, and the deep satisfaction of serving together. Incremental pricing starting at $100 per person.
All programs are held at Camp Chickagami in Presque Isle. Lodging and all meals are included. Scholarships are available — no one is turned away due to financial need.

Earth Day is just around the bend.

Members of Holy Trinity Episcopal Church are busy getting ready to distribute 50 Re-usable, earth friendly, shopping bags at the Vogue Theatre on April 17, prior to the science fiction movie INTERSTELLAR.

This 2014 Academy Award winner, starring Matthew McConaughey and Anne Hathaway explores blight, famine, the possible extinction of earth, and efforts to save the human race.

Our congregation is doing its part in educating the public about the dangers of plastic pollution. Mission statements to explain our Re-usable Bag project, decorated by congregants old and young, and bead stars to attractively "wrap" the gift bags we hand out, are our way of taking action to protect earth, our island home.
Here at Holy Trinity Church, we are so grateful to all who support this project.

A Pastoral Statement from the Standing Committee of the Episcopal Diocese of the Great Lakes, following the attack on Temple Israel in West Bloomfield Township yesterday:

"The wilderness of Lent is not a place of despair. It is where we are stripped of pretense and returned to what is essential."

In the wake of yesterday's attack on Temple Israel, our Standing Committee calls us to prayer, solidarity with our Jewish neighbors, and renewed commitment to our Baptismal Covenant.
