What is typically thought of as the last weekend of summer, we'll be observing the Lord's Supper tomorrow and then concluding our summer series on the Beatitudes looking at the ways those who possess these attitudes will influence others around them. Come and worship with us at 11:00 AM!

As August comes to a close, tomorrow we'll be looking at the final Beatitude that along with the other seven form the basis of a happy life, one which we should experience if we truly possess the other seven. You are invited to join us at 11:00 AM as we together see that true happiness is possible when earthly persecution is faced with a heavenly perspective.

Looking forward to our annual church picnic today at Noon at the Jacobs' (1477 Lakeshore Road). Look for the sign with flags that indicates their drive just north of Lakeshore Church (First Baptist) and take it to the house at the end. Park anywhere along the right side of the drive in the grass. Hope to see you all there!

Though the Bible opens with peace in the Garden of Eden and closes with peace in eternity, one of the most obvious facts of history and of human experience is that peace does not characterize man's present earthly existence. As we continue our summer teaching series "The Be-Attitudes: the Basis of a Happy Life" we'll be looking at the seventh beatitude tomorrow - Be a Peacemaker. You are invited to join us tomorrow at 11:00 AM to learn about this very important attitude that is a vital component of a happy life!
