What’s holding your house together?

Ephesians 2:1-22

You can’t walk with Him if you don’t walk in submission.

We have to not just carry the name of God but carry His character.

He’s not saying we’re in Heaven but we can bring Heaven to Earth.

You don’t have to work for a gift, you just have to receive it.

There should be some fruit on our trees, people are around us are looking for our fruits on our trees.

Mark 4:35-41

Who’s on your boat?

1. You will go through storms even if you follow God

The storm was not punishment is was Process

The disciples immediately obeyed Jesus, and immediately faced resistance

A lot of people preach that if you'll give your life to the lord life will be smooth
sailing from that point.

This is why so many people that go through their first trial just give up the *fight*

2. Don’t let fear make you question the heart of God.

Although they knew he was capable they didn’t fully know his heart.

Storms have a way of making people feel forgotten.

Just because we get scared God still cares.

3. Sometimes Jesus has to calm the storm, but sometimes he has to calm the people.

There are many situations we find ourselves in where it isn't truly the storm or the
trial that is tormenting us, its the fear.

Although he's going to take us through some trials and some storm in life he
didn't give us fear.

Be mindful, is it truly the storm I need him to stop, or is it the fear that I’m feeling.

Sunday Recap 5/17/26

2 Corinthians 8:1-7

Giving is love and love is giving.

It’s better to give than to receive.

Giving is a reflection of the heart of God.

We don’t have a money problem, we have a mindset problem.

When our mindset is I need I need I need, we will never give.

Tithing breaks the cycle of scarcity and creates a new cycle of supply.

When we think wrongly about giving, we will always think something is being taken from us.

Getting more money doesn’t make you more generous. It makes you more of what you already are!

When we give God our first and our best, we can trust Him to bless the rest. We are called to honor God 1st.

This month we want to honor our pastor’s wife for her birthday! (May 27th) We appreciate the woman of God that she is and all that she does for us. Sister Shelby is a kind and loving person with a servant’s heart. She does so much for everyone around her and always leads by example in doing the work of the Lord. We thank you and we honor you for the woman of God that you are. We love you!

Happy Mothers Day! It was a beautiful day in the House of God celebrating these beautiful and mighty women of God. We love them all! We are thankful for what God done in every life this morning and for the sweet presence of God that filled the room. One mind, one heart, in full surrender, worshipping the one who is holy, who is worthy, and who stands alone. Where the Spirit of the Lord is there is love, unity, and freedom.
