Malvern UMC We where founded in 1842 and the current church building was built in 1896. We are a traditional, evangelical church in the Wesleyan tradition.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear Brother in Christ Brian Madden after a long battle with cancer. Brian came to our church about 4 to 5 years ago, due to his van breaking down in the church parking lot. And by meeting the pastor at the time and fellow church members coming to help him he has stayed and grown into our church family and has always been one to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. An active member of the church Board of Trustees, Member of our Church's mowing and grounds crew, and a very active Bible Study attendee, Brian always volunteered with an open heart to many of our church events, and never said no to volunteering or helping out. Our hearts go out to his family with our sincerest and deepest prayers. And as one last farewell to Brian, you will be deeply missed by all your friends here at Malvern UMC.

As most of you may already know, we the Malvern United Methodist Church have received, this past July, our new fulltime appointment minister, Rev. Ruth Roth serving both us here at, "The Light On Top Of The Hill," as well as our sister church Centenary United Methodist Church-Waynesburg. We Welcome you Rev. Ruth Roth with Open Arms, Open Minds, and Open Hearts. We are super excited for the ministry and the work that will be done in our time together. So to our new Minister Rev.
