"The man is made clean by Christ. This reversal—so many of Christ's miracles are about revealing who He is and what it is He came to do. This reversal points us toward the greater wonder of the gospel. At the cross, Jesus willingly bears the guilt of his people on Himself. Not because sin corrupted Him, but because the spotless Lamb offered Himself in the place of sinners. He bore on Himself our condemnation so that His righteousness could be counted as our righteousness."

He continues to make progress to the Lord. He continues to seek after the Lord. "I mean, He even said that He could call down angels if He wanted to, but He chose not to. We know that God is able to help. We know He's able to smite enemies. Looking to Him in every circumstance, trusting His sovereignty, whatever comes, is a must for us. He might provide relief; He might not. But we trust Him no matter what. That is faith. Not just trusting Him and praising Him when things are great, but in the trials as well."

"His faith is leading his emotions. Some of us need to write that down. Not because I said it, but because that's what the psalm is teaching us. We come to the Lord in our emotions, in our anguish, and we just declare these things before God. How long, oh Lord, will You forget me forever? How long must I wrestle with these things in my soul? Will my enemy get to rejoice over me? And then it turns into, But I have trusted in Your steadfast love. My heart shall rejoice in Your salvation. I will sing to the Lord because He has dealt bountifully with me."

Night 4 of our Emerald Crossing VBS was spent learning about how the Lord is our Provider. We have enjoyed a fun week walking through David’s story and Psalm 23!

It all wraps up tonight with the final day of our Irish adventure! How does God keep His promises? Who will win the offering challenge? What’s the big secret? Will we find Steven?? Join us tonight, 6:00-8:20pm to find out! ☘️
