What a celebration today, baptizing mother and daughter today.

Baptism is an outward expression of an inward decision. It's a public declaration that we belong to Jesus Christ.

Matthew 28:19-20
“Go then and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them into the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, Teaching them to observe everything that I have commanded you, and behold, I am with you all the days (perpetually, uniformly, and on every occasion), to the [very] close and consummation of the age. Amen (so let it be).”

Romans 6:4
“We were buried therefore with Him by the baptism into death, so that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glorious [power] of the Father, so we too might [habitually] live and behave in newness of life.”

Father, we thank You for Renee and Reagan who has publicly declared their faith in Jesus Christ today. Strengthen them as they continue to follow You. Help them to grow in Your Word, walk in obedience, and remember that they belong to You. Surround them with a community that will encourage them in their faith. May their lives reflect the newness of life we celebrate today. In Jesus' name, Amen.
