This Sunday at Madison Church, we’re gathering around the table for a Midwest-themed potluck 😋

We’ll sing a couple of songs, continue our series through 1 John, and then move right into lunch together. The meal is part of the gathering, so there’s no extra event to stay for afterward.

Think hotdish, cheesy potatoes, deviled eggs, bars, or whatever feels appropriately Midwestern to you.

Bringing food is completely optional. We would much rather have you at the table than have one more dish on it.

On Saturday, July 11, Madison Church is heading to Green Bay to serve at Safe Haven Hope Center.

We’ll be partnering with Sarah, Cathi, and their team to help with landscaping projects around the property. It’s a simple, practical way to support their work and give back to the Green Bay community.

No special experience is needed. Just come ready to work outside, wear clothes that can get dirty and closed-toe shoes, and bring work gloves if you have them.

Happy Father’s Day.

Today, we’re grateful for the dads, grandfathers, father figures, mentors, and men in our community who show up with love, patience, sacrifice, and steady presence.

There is a lot of talk right now about masculinity. Some of it is helpful. A lot of it is not. As followers of Jesus, we want to begin somewhere deeper than culture. We want to learn from Christ, whose strength was never about control or ego, but love, service, courage, truth, and care for others.

Join us this morning at 10:30 a.m. for worship, Scripture, communion, and community.

You’re welcome at Madison Church.

Tomorrow at Madison Church we’re welcoming Pastor Sarah Hanson and Cathi Oreto from Green Bay.

Sarah and Cathi are friends, longtime ministry partners, and helped start Exchange in Green Bay. More recently, Cathi founded Safe Haven, a shelter and hope center serving people experiencing homelessness.

They’ll be sharing how their faith moved them from seeing a need to stepping into it with courage, compassion, and action.
Join us tomorrow at 10:30 AM.

Grace and peace, and we hope you have a restful Memorial Day weekend.

Many people feel emotionally exhausted, spiritually distracted, relationally disconnected, or constantly hurried. We don’t think following Jesus was ever meant to look like surviving life at a frantic pace.

This July, Madison Church is launching an 8 week discipleship experience called Becoming Emotionally Healthy Disciples.

Together we’ll explore themes like:

• emotional maturity
• Sabbath and slowing down
• grief and loss
• relationships
• spiritual rhythms
• sustainable life with God

Each gathering includes teaching, conversation, reflection, and prayer in a welcoming and honest environment.

Whether you’ve been following Jesus for years or are simply exploring faith and looking for deeper community, you’re invited.

This Sunday, May 17, we’re continuing our study, Following Jesus Together. Our emphasis this week will be contemplative prayer in practice.

Then next Sunday, May 24, for Memorial Day weekend, we will not have our normal gathering. Instead, some from Madison Church will be volunteering at Brat Fest in the morning, and then we’ll all gather at 1pm to hang out together.

This is part of what we’ve been talking about as a church. We're not just discussing community, but practicing it through shared presence and life together.

If you’re new to Madison Church, this is a great opportunity to meet people in a relaxed environment. Look for Madison Church people, and we’ll look for you. Families and kids are welcome!

It's official, we will continue to meet at King’s Kids Academy through the summer.

We are grateful for the space, and encouraged by what’s happening. New faces, real connection, and a growing sense that we’re finding our footing again.

If you’ve been meaning to check things out or invite someone, this is a good season.

Sundays at 10:30am.

Meeting at King’s Kids Academy has been really good so far! We’ve been at capacity with chairs (a good problem), so we’re adding more seats this week.

This Sunday at 10:30am, we’re hosting a community lunch during the gathering after a time of prayer and a short teaching. It’s a simple pasta potluck.

You’re welcome to come, whether you bring something or just show up. We’d love to see you there.

This week, instead of a typical teaching-focused gathering, we’re creating space for something a little different with an extended time of Lectio Divina.

If that’s unfamiliar, think of it this way: most of us are used to reading Scripture quickly or trying to figure it out. Lectio slows everything down. It gives us space to notice a word or phrase, sit with it, pray through it, and let it settle into our lives.

There will be more quiet, more space, and simple prompts to guide us.

If you’ve been curious about church but aren’t sure what to expect, this is a really approachable Sunday to step in. We’d love to have you with us tomorrow.
