“Why do you look for the living among the dead? He isn’t here, but has been raised. Remember what he told you while he was still in Galilee, that the Son of Man must be handed over to sinners, be crucified, and on the third day rise again.”

Work on our driveway is complete, and we had some light fixtures repaired.

We are so glad to make ready the Lord’s house in preparation for observance of Holy Week.

We had a very productive work day in the driveway today. Next week we will finish the remaining gravel and install the new concrete parking curbs.

We have a Spring Cleaning Day coming up March 22nd. Many hands make the work light!

A message from Mrs. Janelle Hein:

The LORD in His mercy called John home this morning at 9:50. He breathed his last breath with all of us around his bed singing hymns.

The funeral/memorial service is being planned for Saturday, February 14, at 11:00 at Berea Lutheran Church in Inver Grove Heights. Visitation will be at 10:00. We are holding the service there because we are expecting a large crowd and their facility is better equipped to handle that.

“Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; nor does corruption inherit incorruption. Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed— in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. So when this corruptible has put on incorruption, and this mortal has put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written: “Death is swallowed up in victory.”

“O Death, where is your sting? O Hades, where is your victory?”

The sting of death is sin, and the strength of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.” I Corinthians 15:50-58

Our dear sister in Christ, Alice Naumann, has entered her eternal rest. She fell asleep in Christ on January 7, her last day was spent chatting away with family members (who had devotions with her and sang hymns) and resting. She is now with her Savior in Heaven.

Alice was the wife of Pastor Bertram Naumann, who served as Pastor here at Redemption for close to 30 years. Together, they raised 8 children, and served the Lord with gladness.

The memorial service will be held Saturday, January 24, 2026, at Messiah Lutheran Church in Eau Claire, Wisconsin.

Psalm 116:15
Precious in the sight of the Lord Is the death of His saints.

1 Corinthians 15:55-57
“O death, where is your victory? O death, where is your sting?”
The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
