Starting the week off right! ❤️‍🔥📖

Tonight we talked through James 1:19–22 and what it looks like to actually live out God’s Word.

Be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to anger. 👂🏼

It’s one thing to know what the Bible says, but it’s another thing to actually put it into practice.

We don’t just want to be hearers of the Word…we want to be DOERS. 🙌🏼

Jeremiah 20:9 says, ““But if I say, “I will not mention his word or speak anymore in his name,” his word is in my heart like a fire, a fire shut up in my bones. I am weary of holding it in; indeed, I cannot.”

If Jesus is really in you, you shouldn’t be able to keep Him to yourself.

Talk about Him at school. Live for Him around your friends. Stand for Him when it’s not popular.

Let people SEE that you belong to Jesus.

Don’t just be a Christian on Sunday nights. Be the light everywhere you go. 🔥

Tonight at youth, we talked about something so simple that can completely change the way we live: PERSPECTIVE. 👀

We don’t HAVE TO read our Bible… we GET TO. 📖
We don’t HAVE TO pray… we GET TO talk to the God who created us. 🙏
We don’t HAVE TO go to church… we GET TO gather with other believers. ⛪️
We don’t HAVE TO serve… we GET TO be used by God. ❤️‍🔥

Our challenge this week: whenever you catch yourself saying “I have to…”, stop and ask:

“What if I GET TO?”

✨ Sermon Recap | The Names of God ✨

This Sunday, we began our new sermon series, The Names of God, by looking at Elohim in Genesis—our Creator who made everything--including US-- with purpose and intention.

When we understand who Elohim is, we begin to understand who we are.

💙 You are an intention—not an accident.
💙 Your value is non-negotiable because it comes from your Creator.
💙 Brokenness is never final when God is at work.
💙 You were never meant to live apart from Him.
💙 Your very breath is borrowed—a daily gift from God.

The same God who spoke creation into existence lovingly created you with purpose. No matter where you are in your journey, your identity begins with God (Elohim).

We can't wait to continue exploring The Names of God together next Sunday. And don't worry, there's a seat for YOU!

We’re inviting youth groups from across the area to come together for one night of fun, fellowship, and worship!

Our prayer is simple: that students would be encouraged, challenged, and reminded that we are called to be the light wherever God has placed us.

The Kingdom is bigger than one church. We may gather in different buildings each week, but we’re serving the same Savior and sharing the same mission. Let’s come together to worship, grow, and encourage one another.
