It would be pretty crazy to see a broken grape branch lying on the ground and expect it to produce a cluster of grapes.🍇 The branch receives everything it needs from the vine: water, nutrients, and the energy required for growth.🌿 In fact, grapevines have an intricate system that constantly transports life-giving resources between the roots, vine, leaves, and fruit. When that connection is broken, the growth stops and the branch withers.

In the same way, Jesus reminds us that apart from Him we can do nothing. The most important thing we can do for our marriage and family is to stay connected to Jesus and His truth and love.❤ As we spend time with Jesus, depend on Him, and receive His love and grace, His life begins to flow through us. He produces the patience we need during a difficult parenting moment, the grace and peace we need in marriage, and the wisdom we need to navigate everyday challenges. The fruit🍇 we long to see in our marriages and families isn't produced by striving harder, but by staying connected to the One who supplies everything we need.

If you've been feeling tired, discouraged, or stretched thin lately, remember that God never intended for you to do this on your own. Invite Him into whatever challenges you are facing right now and ask the Holy Spirit to give you wisdom and guidance. Apart from Jesus we can do nothing, but when we remain connected to Him, He produces fruit in us that blesses our marriage, family, and everyone around us.

🙏🏻Father God, thank You for being the source of life, strength, and growth🌿 that we need. Help us remain connected to You each day. Produce Your fruit🍇 in us and through us so that we reflect Your love, grace, and presence more and more.

Summer is often filled with excitement and anticipation.😎 We look forward to vacations, backyard barbecues, road trips, family adventures, and making memories with the people we love. But if we're honest, summer can also bring unexpected stress. Kids are home more, routines are different, calendars fill up quickly, and life can start to feel chaotic and even overwhelming.😫

If the fun and busyness of summer is starting to feel stressful, remember God's promise from Deuteronomy 31:8📖— Moses spoke it to Joshua on the edge of an unknown land, facing something far too big for him. It's a promise made for overwhelming moments — and it says God is not just with you in the chaos, He is already beyond it. Before your family trip, the hard parenting moment, the conversation your marriage needs, the change you can't control, He is already aware of what you need and wants to lead you through it.➡

Our hope is found in the God who faithfully walks with us through every moment. So, make the promise a practice this summer. When you feel the tension rising, pause and pray🙏🏻— before the trip, before the talk, before the day begins. Not because prayer makes the chaos comfortable, but because it reminds you who is leading. The Lord goes before you, walks beside you, and will not leave you.

🌿In Jesus’ day, dignified fathers didn't run. It required them to bunch up their robes, expose their ankles, and look completely foolish. Yet, in Jesus’ story📖 of the prodigal son, the moment the father sees his child coming home, he doesn't wait for an apology. He runs.

🌿As parents and spouses, we can often feel like we are "a long way off" from where we want to be. We lose our tempers,😤 miscommunicate, and feel ashamed of our weaknesses.😫 And even when we turn towards God in repentance and brokenness and take steps to change, it can feel like God is waiting for us to get ourselves ‘together’ first before He will fully welcome us back into his arms.

🌿If you feel like you're struggling this month, remember that God doesn’t demand perfection before He offers connection.❤️ He is a Father who runs to us in our weakness. He closes the distance to meet us, not just to comfort us, but to walk with us to heal, change, and grow🌿 us into who He has made us to be.

🙏🏻Invite Him into the messiness of your marriage and family this month, and ask Him for His power to be made perfect in your weakness!

Sometimes the hardest part of growing something is the "waiting"—the gap between planting a seed and seeing it sprout.🌱

Sometimes we can feel weary and exhausted when the demands and stressors of parenting feels never-ending, or when you’re going through a hard challenge in your marriage and you don’t know if anything will ever get better.

If you’re feeling discouraged this month, like you aren’t seeing growth or change, remember that God doesn’t ask us to do the growing and He isn’t finished writing your marriage or parenting story. He invites us to stay connected🌿 and abide in Him, trusting Him to grow the fruit🍇 that we’re longing for. (John 15:5) God is the gardener🌸 of your marriage and family and He has a long-term growth plan that is better than anything you could grow on your own. Stay connected to Him, keep turning to Him📖 and invite Him into your daily messes, trusting that He is doing something beautiful in your season of waiting.🌷
