Today, the Luzerne United Methodist Church had the privilege of honoring three incredible graduates, and our hearts are overflowing with pride.
Watching these young people grow, learn, serve, and discover their passions has been such a blessing. As they stand on the threshold of exciting new chapters, we celebrate not only their accomplishments but also the character, determination, and faith that have guided them along the way.
๐ Laila Alyvia Schnelley graduated from the Wilkes-Barre CTC Culinary Program and will graduate from Wilkes-Barre Area on June 5th. Laila plans to attend LCCC to study Education with the goal of becoming an English teacher. We are so excited to see the impact she will have on future generations through her love of learning and teaching.
๐ Jake Evans will graduate from Lake-Lehman High School on June 5th. Throughout high school, Jake lettered in football, baseball, and basketball while also participating in the National Honor Society and Young Scholars Program. He will attend Duquesne Universityโs Palumbo-Donahue School of Business with aspirations of continuing on to law school. His dedication, leadership, and work ethic have already taken him far, and we know his future is bright.
๐ Ethan Howe graduated from the Wilkes-Barre Area CTC, where he studied Carpentry and Millwork. Ethan earned 1st place in the local SkillsUSA Cabinetmaking competition and 3rd place at the state level. He will also graduate from Pittston Area on June 5th and plans to attend Johnson College to continue his studies in carpentry and cabinetmaking. His talent, craftsmanship, and commitment to excellence are truly inspiring.
As a church family, we have been blessed to witness these graduates grow into remarkable young adults. While we are proud of their academic achievements, we are even more proud of the people they have become. We pray that God will guide their steps, open new doors of opportunity, and remind them that wherever life takes them, they always have a church family cheering them on.
Congratulations, Laila, Jake, and Ethan! Your Luzerne United Methodist Church family loves you, believes in you, and cannot wait to see all that God has in store for your future. โค๏ธ๐๐
