“Teacher, which command in the law is the greatest? ”
He said to him, “Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the greatest and most important command. The second is like it: Love your neighbor as yourself. (Matthew 22:36-39)

All Scripture is inspired by God and is profitable for teaching, for rebuking, for correcting, for training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work. (II Timothy 3:16,17)

This Sunday, we will bring our mini-series of lessons (within our year-long series on apologetics) on the reliability of Scripture to a close by considering Biblical manuscripts and the many alleged errors and discrepancies found in them. If you're in the Loudon area, please know that you are welcome to join us for this study at 11am and our Bible classes beforehand at 10am!

Then the LORD said to Cain, “Why are you furious? And why do you look despondent? If you do what is right, won’t you be accepted? But if you do not do what is right, sin is crouching at the door. Its desire is for you, but you must rule over it.” (Genesis 4:6,7)

Last week, we looked at the two sons of Adam and Eve, their contrasting positions in the family, occupations, and sacrifices to God. Unfortunately, Cain's sacrifice did not receive God's approval, and the firstborn son did not take that very well. Our study tonight will look at what happens next, and we'd love for you to join us!

Auditorium Study: The Power of a Christian's Influence
Assembly Lesson: For It Is Impossible To Renew To Repentance...
Hebrews 6:1-12 (Hebrews Textual Study)

08/29/2026

For it is impossible to renew to repentance those who were once enlightened, who tasted the heavenly gift, who shared in the Holy Spirit, who tasted God’s good word and the powers of the coming age, and who have fallen away. This is because, to their own harm, they are recrucifying the Son of God and holding him up to contempt. (Hebrews 6:4-6)

After admonishing the letter's recipients for their lack of growth in faith and knowledge, the author of the exhortation to the Hebrews turns his attention to warn them about the next logical danger they faced: abandoning faith in Jesus entirely. This move would have serious ramifications, and the author wants to give these Christians every chance to make the right decision. In fact, he is confident they will do just that. If you're in Loudon this Sunday, please consider joining us for our Bible classes at 10am and our 11am worship assembly, where we will continue our study of Hebrews 6:1-12.

Then Job stood up, tore his robe, and shaved his head. He fell to the ground and worshiped, saying:
Naked I came from my mother’s womb, and naked I will leave this life.
The LORD gives, and the LORD takes away.
Blessed be the name of the LORD.
Throughout all this Job did not sin or blame God for anything. (Job 1:20-22)

Few situations in life can challenge our faith like those moments when we suffer tremendous loss that breaks our hearts. What should we do when we face such a situation? How can we help those who are going through such situations? These are the questions we'll address this Sunday morning at 11am during our worship assembly. Our Bible classes will take place prior at 10am. We'd love to have you join us as we worship and study together!
